And lo, the sulphur burps have started... does this settle down? (Mounjaro)

Started Mounjaro in October. For various reasons, have only just gone up to 7.5mg at the weekend and woke with awful sulphur burps this morning. I've only just found out from googling today that this is a thing, haven't had it till now but it's pretty unpleasant! 😖Any similar experiences? Does it tend to settle down, or is it par for the course on this dose?

Mine settled down very randomly (didn’t change dose or diet), they are horrendous so I feel your pain! I found the only fix for mine was Phillips Milk of Magnesia

Thanks, I'll give that a go! They are pretty unpleasant!

Peppermint tea or peppermint capsules are often mentioned here as being useful to combat this.

You can also research foods that can cause hydrogen sulfide gas to be produced when digesting, and try avoiding any obvious culprits in your diet. Mounjaro causes slower digestion so anything prone to producing this gets a longer time to do so.

Reduce or avoid red meat and high sulphur foods. I started early October too, been on 2 x 7.5mg pens but not had any side effects. I mainly eat chicken and fish.

Thanks for the tips. As it turns out, DH (who is also on MJ) has been getting these too, so I think some dietary tweaks are on the cards...
