Very proud to share with you that I am now overweight!!!!!

I know you will understand on this forum because it's the first time I haven't been obese for about six years.

It's been hard work but nowhere near as hard as without Mounjaro.

Been on it since Aug 2024 (and a few weeks on my own before that).

SW: 20st 12.5" BMI 42.3
CW: 14st 9.5" BMI 29.9
Height: 5'10"

Loss : 6st 2.5" / 39.4kg

Amazing!!! Congratulations!! This is my goal too, 11lbs to go for me to be in the overweight. Exciting!

That's incredible!! Well done!

Ah, another 5ft 10 here too.. lovely to get into the overweight mark, it was a nice feeling..
Being so tall though, my goal weight is a lot of people's starting weight, that was weird to start with, but obviously after reading so many people's journeys and stories it's less on the mind..

HansHolbein · 17/02/2025 10:04

So happy for you! Incredible achievement. You must be overjoyed 🥰

Completely agree, I find it very difficult when people are talking about much lower weights and then it turns out they're 5ft nothing! No criticism of that... such is life...but it does take some mental adjustment

Yes, it took me a while to get my head around, and realise everyone is different.. some with 2 stones to lose to be out of obese and to normal bmi.
I had over 6 stones to lose just to be the very top of a healthy bmi. But yes the height thing put it all into perspective.
I'm still a way off yet, but slowly getting there..

imtheholidayarmadillo · 17/02/2025 10:41

Well done OP, it's a great feeling isn't it!

I've still another 2 stone to go, but not being in the obese bracket for the first time in years is such a good motivator.

Goinghome24 · 17/02/2025 10:42

Well done! I just dropped ubto overweight too... it fivally feels possible to become slim!

Doggymummar · 17/02/2025 10:43

Well done that's more than I have lost in two years on WLI I'm at 60lb. I have 10lb to be BMI 29 hoping for Easter

Adelstrop · 17/02/2025 13:58

Well done, that must feel fantastic. Half a stone for me before I can ‘celebrate’ being overweight.

Cantbesure · 17/02/2025 14:36

That's amazing @joshingaround what an achievement!!

As a very short girl I'm conscious of not posting my weight as I realise how it sounds to someone much taller. But our goal is all the same. To lose weight and become more healthy.

iamnotalemon · 17/02/2025 14:48

Amazing, well done.

morbidcuriosity · 17/02/2025 15:08

@Cantbesure don't feel you can't.. I had a friend start this time and her starting weight is less than my goal weight. Haha. She is a little 5 foot 1 though, so it's all understandable..

Just a shock to begin with hearing people saying they are obese at 12 stone. And I'm aiming for 12 and half ..
But when u take into account height it all makes sense..

Sorry don't want to derail your thread , just hope everyone feels OK sharing stuff here.. its helped me so much..
