Mounjaro Gas

Anyone else experienced excess gas with Mounjaro? I did 4 weeks of 2.5 and in the fourth week it happened but was that bad I ended up in bed. It was mixed with diarrhoea and I vomited once.

i had a week off and then had another 2.5mg. About three days in it started again but just really with gas. Sulphur burps and wind. Obviously had mild stomach ache with it as well. I’m stopping with it now just because I can’t stand feeling like this.

Anyone experienced anything similar? I’ve had this gas now for four days. Times when it’s fine but about an hour after eating it comes back. I presume once the levels in my body drop things will go back to normal but so annoying.

Yes, it's listed as a 'common' side effect in your patient information leaflet. Probiotics help.

Also avoid high sulphur foods, eggs, beans, fizzy drinks, onion, garlic etc.

Thanks. I’ve been to the pharmacist and they’ve given me some deflatine which will hopefully help. Finding it hard to summon up the desire to eat.

Like poster says before avoid high sulphur foods but also red meat is harder to digest and sits in stomach and ferments. Avoid alcohol too and drink lots of water

If you have the time watch Ben Bikman on YouTube discussing GLP1's, he explains the physical mechanisms quite well, so you can understand where the gas is coming from.
Best of luck.
