When your body gets used to Mounjaro

I have lost 4 stone on Mounjaro. I have 1 more stone to go. I'm on the highest dose of it now and have been for several months.

I am maintaining perfectly well, but it's not being particularly effective at making me lose weight now, as I can eat more again and the side effects have reduced.

I am just wondering if I stop taking it for a couple of months, when I start it again will the side effects come back and help me lose again?

Try fasting.

Great that it is helping you to maintain now you are getting closer to goal. Will you be able to maintain if you come off for a couple of months?

Have you recalculated your TDEE regularly, and are you still in calorie deficit?

I would expect weight loss to be much slower as you get closer to goal as your TDEE will be much lower and weekly calorie deficit smaller.

Is your shape changing rather than weight dropping?

Are there options to increase the calorie deficit with exercise?

I’ve heard quite a few people who say that it didn’t work so well after they took a break. So that would put me off doing that unless it was absolutely necessary.

I stopped for a few months, I was on Ozempic and so sick. I stopped, gained 9 pounds due to circumstances and started on MJ. I have lost a stone now since September so it it working. I lose very slowly due to my own metabolism. You will have to start over at the lowest dose if you break for more than 4 weeks, at least you do with my supplier.

Op, how long have you been on the drug, as I’m wondering if you’ve always been a slow loser.

I'm going to walk away quietly as I've just got on the scales this morning and have lost 3lbs 🙈😁
