I felt horrible on Saxenda - will Mounjaro be any better?

I took Saxenda a couple of years ago and felt pretty nauseous throughout. I liked the daily dose as I could skip if the nausea got too bad. I was also constantly exhausted. I don’t sleep well anyway usually and have a very busy professional job and I couldn’t cope. I also overate once (emotional eating) and was the sickest I’ve ever been and it was truly awful and had to have three days off work. Am I likely to get on any better with mounjaro? I have
a lot of weight to lose.

It’s definitely worth a go. I gave up on Saxenda a few years ago because it made me sick, ditto Wegovy last year. I decided as a last ditch attempt to give Mounjaro a go and I’m on my second month with so far no side effects at all.

That’s really reassuring!! I’ve just ordered it as I have nothing to lose!

Hi....I also took Saxenda and hated it. I was always tired and nauseous. Now on Mounjaro and it has been brilliant.....only the mildest of side effects.
Good luck xx

Hope you get on well with it! I’ve been a slow loser on them all but it’s much easier to only see slow progress when it’s not accompanied by feeling sick all the time!

I had side effects with Saxenda especially eggy burps, and didn't lose much weight so gave up

I was worried mounjaro would be the same but it's been much better for me. I haven't lost weight as fast as some and am a little sensitive to the gastro effects when moving up doses but overall it's loads better and am very happy I tried it.
