I just want to eat crap

5th week on MJ.

lost nearly a stone.

before MJ I ate really healthily - lots of veg, fat free Greek yogurt, avocados, nuts, seeds, spinach, eggs and grilled chicken and fish.

since MJ I rarely want to eat, but when I do it’s always something sweet. I crave chocolate, crisps, sweet fruit, things I rarely eat normally.

does anyone else experience this?

tbh, if it wasn’t for the delightful and unexpected side effect of compressing my desire for regular wine, which is so useful, id probably get off it, because I feel my diet is shot, and I’m tired and listless with no desire to exercise.

i reckon one more stone and I’m done.
anyone else?

This sounds like my experience early on. I think it's something to do with the drug sorting out insulin levels, but I found it did wear off (with a little self control effort) after a while. Still looking for a proper explanation though, as it was so strange and I found myself eating haribo which I normally can't stand.

Could the injections be causing low blood sugar.? Maybe there is a need to be monitoring blood sugar levels with these injections like a diabetic would be doing?

You're probably tired because you're not intaking enough protein. I have found that chromium picolinate helps to improve blood glucose control and reduce sugar cravings.

If you don't improve your diet, you could still be eating/wanting junk food when you come off MJ. I think there's a thread on what people have been eating on MJ.

I keep 70% chocolate in the house -not something you can eat a huge amount of. Eat it with a rich tea biscuit for a crunchy snack.

better than eating over sweetened stuff.

FlappingMadly · 11/02/2025 07:18

I imagine it's something to.do with blood sugar. I'd check in with your doc.

AlphaApple · 11/02/2025 07:37

Just don't buy that stuff or have it in the house?

I found the opposite, not interested in anything really, and the dopamine hit of sugar disappeared.

I was like this on 5mg, over the 4 weeks I gained 1kg.
