Mounjaro and diarrhoea

looking for some help from someone who has experienced diarrhoea with Mounjaro.

I injected my first dose of 2.5 on Thursday evening and then 24hrs later experienced bad diarrhoea which has continued along with abdominal pain since.

just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and how long it lasted for? Did you take anything to help stop the diarrhoea or abdominal pain?

Dont want to take my next dose if this will continue but if it’s short term I can manage it.

Did you have sulphur burps too? I had it badly on higher doses, in conjunction with sulphur burps. (Delightful!). It lasted 2-3 days each round until I lowered my dose.

It could be Mounjaro. There's a chance too that it could be a tummy bug, there are lots going around at the moment.

I have had spells on and off at certain points. It’s generally connected to what you have eaten (or drunk! I was terrible after too much wine!). Take some Imodium and keep your fluids up. If it doesn’t clear, speak to your provider.

I didn’t have issues with this until I was on 15mg. I moved down to 12.5 but I’ve started having it on that as well. It’s always with a noisy tummy and sulphur burps. Do you have those as well? You can take immodium type meds. I tend to take them before bed so I don’t end up awake in the night with it. It may not be the mounjaro though. There’s a lot of tummy bugs around

I’m on my third dose of 7.5 and recently experienced three days of awful nausea, diarrhoea and stomach cramps. The diarrhoea was very watery and constant.
I can’t say for sure whether this was due to Mounjaro or if I picked up a bug.
Luckily over the counter diarrhoea medication electrolytes, and paracetamol saved me!

Every time I had issues with diarrhea, immodium instants or equivalent from your local pharmacy, helps. It melts on your tongue and works fairly quickly (at least for me). I have been using it for 6-7 years now and it helped me massively during sickness abroad.
