Mounjaro and Blurred Vision

Has anyone on mounjaro noticed changes in their vision? I've been on MJ for five months and am 7lbs away from my goal weight. I've been on 2.5mg the entire time, but increased to 3.75 two weeks ago to shift the final few llbs. In the last week, the vision in one of my eyes has become blurrier, the other one is fine. No other problems with the blurry eye. I would preface all of this by saying that I wear glasses for driving and reading, stare at a screen all day for work and am overdue my eye test by about a year (so have hastily arranged one for next week). I'm thinking that this may be entirely unrelated to MJ but wanted to discount it. I'm going to pause my treatment nevertheless and as my BMI is now 23, may stop completely. I'm interested to hear whether anyone else has experienced this.

The rapid changes/improvements Mounjaro brings about to your blood sugar can change the shape of the lenses of your eyes and cause blurry vision for a few months while your body adjusts to each dose. I find my eyes can get blurry if I have skipped breakfast/lunch, but it improves once I eat. It can also worsen diabetic retinopathy.

You are doing the right thing going to your optician as soon as possible - perhaps call and see if they can offer you an emergency appointment today/tomorrow, especially if it is just one eye as that seems strange.

Perhaps take someone with you as they might want to put drops in your eye to dilate the pupil and/or a dye so they can have a good look, but won't do it if you are driving.

Also speak to your provider and let them know your symptoms for their advice.

If it's only one eye, then it probably isn't mounjaro. I get blurry vision when my blood sugar drops a bit too low and the mounjaro seems to exacerbate that. But it's always both eyes. Hope the optician appointment goes ok and you get to the bottom of it

Also I found my eyes were much more dry than usual and so adding proper drops really helped. Especially at the beginning with first being an issue it can have an impact on eyes
