Prescribers that do free consultations

Maybe I'm looking for a unicorn, but because I'm a borderline case, I'm looking for a prescriber that prescribes with lower BMIs as long as you're certain ethnicities (which I am), and that ideally doesn't ask for photos, but most importantly that they do a free consultation, rather than paying upfront to then get refunded.

Orlistat works quite differently to both MJ and Wegovy btw so lack of results on Orlistat doesn't mean GLP1s won't work

@Usedphone Asda, Boots and Superdrug are offering MJ and Wegovy? You could also try one of the smaller online ones like Farmeci or The Family Chemist.

I don't think that they are trying to play around with your funds btw, more likely that all have their intake processes structured in a way that guarantees they can collect all the information they need in an efficient way, to due the checks they need to do to meet the prescribing guidelines.

We don't have an Asda with a pharmacy, I'll look at Boots over the weekend but they don't list it as an "on site consultation" just online.

yes just saw this, it seems if there is consent to share with a gp , it doesn’t require video consultation with the patient, but they do need to contact the gp. My gp is aware, so this is a positive and I can even show it’s on my medical records. My view has always been if you don’t want your gp to know and don’t want it on your medical records, that’s a problem and shouldn’t be permitted.

Totally fine with that! If anything it's for the best considering my chronic conditions.

My daughter is being investigated for insuline resistance and weight related conditions run in my family. Latest studies in people of my same ethnic background say 1 in 6 adults have type 2 diabetes.

Again, it will be more of an awareness of my particular background and a bit of a more thorough check with ethnicity, family background, current lifestyle, etc...

Definitely looking for a more "consultative" approach.
