According to them, my BMI is now 30, and so they can't prescribe a new pen - has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? I'm 5ft 4 and 13st 4, btw (SW 15st)

Have you tried to order as a new patient rather than a repeat prescription? They definitely keep prescribing until a healthy BMI for people who started with them.

This, think something is missing here.

habe you provided evidence you’ve been on it already?

ThatCoralShark · 24/01/2025 16:54

Also 30 is the starting point. So something is missing here.

PolaDeVeboise · 24/01/2025 17:12

I've been with them since October. I'm genuinely puzzled.

Have you asked them why?

mumof1or2 · 24/01/2025 17:37

I think there are only some providers who will continue to prescribe once you get down to 30. I know Oushk definitely do. I'm nowhere near that point yet but there's a lot of chat in the fb group I'm in about changing supplier once you get close to 30 to make sure you're with one who will keep prescribing. As long as you can prove you've been taking it since your BMI was higher, I assume a new provider would still prescribe so maybe you need to switch? Do a bit of research to see which ones will still prescribe below 30.

Then ask them. Clearly something is wrong, they are very clear they prescribe for 23.5 bmi. Or two years.

PolaDeVeboise · 24/01/2025 17:47

Thanks all. I've rnailed to ask why.

I thought you said they told you it was as your bmi was 30, which it actually isn’t.

JoanCollinsDiva · 24/01/2025 18:03

I didn't even have a bmi of 30 to start with but 29 (Juniper)

They are more expensive I think but you could definitely just change supplier if ME won't send it.

flyinghen · 24/01/2025 19:00

My BMI is now 28.3 and I was prescribed 7.5mg no issues from med express. I'd message them and find out what's going on

SquashPenguin · 24/01/2025 21:32

Yeah my bmi is 27 and I got prescribed 7.5mg just last week. Something has gone amiss somewhere!

PolaDeVeboise · 27/01/2025 08:03

UPDATE: they've now approved my order, with no further discussion... thanks all.

I’ve been with ME since June. I’ve just had another 5mg and my BMI is under 25. I did contact them some weeks ago and say I was titrating down with a view to maintenance, but at your weight I had no issues at all.

I think someone’s made a mistake, contact them.

Fabulous! They obviously did make a mistake.
