Mounjaro weightloss stall. Do I stop here?

I have been on Mounjaro since June 24 and have lost 5 stone 3lb using it. I am currently 80.4kg - a healthy weight for my height is under 80.2kg, so my bmi is now 25.1.

I have lost so much more than I thought possible but wanted to get to a bmi of 22.5 to give me some wiggle room.

I've been between 80.5kg and 80.3kg for about a month. I have 4 weeks of 15mg left and think this will be my last pen if I can't get the scale moving again!

Any advice? Or anyone similar?

If you wish to reduce further then you need to reduce your calories, the deficit reduces as we lose weight, our tdee drops.

it is your decision on whether you wish to do this or not. The drug helps you stop being hungry as you know and to make better food choices, so would support this,

it is a personal decision,

Hi @TheSillyGoose you've done amazingly well! I recently did my TDEE calculation again as I’ve lost 4 stones since august although( my BMI is still 29. It has meant I’ve had to reduce my calories but that’s helped my focus and scales keep going down, I hope to keep going to get my BMI to the 22 kind of range so if I were you id keep going but look at your calories and food overall to see what could be sharpened. You are so close and it would give you that wiggle room in case of a few pounds on when you finish MJ. I hope I take my own advice when I get closer to goal!

Phenomenally well done @TheSillyGoose ! Congratulations on getting to a healthy weight and for the work you must have put in over the last 7+months.

Can I ask is this your first stall or have you had them before?

I started in June too (3 & 1/2 stone down). A few weeks before Christmas I hit my third stall. I was a healthy weight. Just shy of half a stone from where I wanted to be but clothes are now fun, my boobs are tiny, my skin has definitely not caught up with my body. A balancing act.

I decided to keep going, not worry too much through Christmas and see where I was around now. If the stall held I would be completely fine. If I lost a bit more also all good. Slow and steady. A day/week/ month at a time.

As of today I am inside the target range I set for myself. I feel fab. My skin is holding. My favourite new trousers are loose! I’m now tapering down until I find equilibrium. I have a hard bottom line I do not want to cross. I plan to be on the jab for several more months.

So I would say don’t sweat the stall. If this is where you end up all good. But you might find that if you keep going things start moving again. If more slowly than they were before.

Bon chance and bravo!
