Weight loss in prep for pregnancy

I need to lose some serious weight in order to be considered for IUI/IVF. I ideally need to do this in the next year to 18 months, in order to balance the weight loss with my age. Does anyone know if Mounjaro would pose any challenges with this? I assume I would have to stop once I start the IUI/IVF process but would also be at an acceptable BMI at that point too. Any info would be appreciated, particularly from anyone who has been in a similar boat. Thank you.

I started a weight loss injection for the same reason and it worked well.
I think as long as you complete your treatment a few months before planing treatment, then it's ok.
It can be difficult to keep the weight off without a maintenance dose, but you could discuss with your clinic and get their advice

I forgot to say that I am currently 17 weeks pregnant, and got pregnant after losing a couple of stone, I had been trying for over 2 years before the weight loss

Thank you - that's very helpful to know. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Information on mounjaro states you have to be off it a month before you start TTC.

Thank you.

I was off the injection around 6-8 weeks before becoming pregnant, each medication is slightly different I believe but definitely worth researching
