When to take first dose of MJ

Hi all,

I'm really excited to have finally received my first Mounjaro Pen. Ideally I'd like to get going with it ASAP but I'm trying to figure out when to take it to cause the least carnage.

I have face to face client work on a Tuesday which I absolutely cannot miss and then a full day at the office every Friday.

Which day do you think I should start to give the least side effect impact on those days? I absolutely cannot be running in and out of my meetings on a Tuesday and would also prefer not to be in and out of the bathroom at the office if possible, although that is definitely the lesser of the two evils. All advice very gratefully received.

I do mine Monday morning. I work from home that day. Always been fine in the office Tuesday and it means i feel ok to be a little more relaxed about meal choices and drinks at the weekend.

Probably Friday evening after work on your timetable. But side effects don't predictably arrive a certain number of days after injecting, so it's all a bit of a guessing game. You might not experience anything that can't be managed anyway.

Carnage? You will probably be fine if you eat well. I completely overhauled my diet when I started and haven't had any side effects.

Friday nights are my preferred time. Only really because I sometimes get really tired after mine so I like the weekend to relax into it. There shouldn't be any carnage

Yes, there may well be not be carnage, I guess I'm just trying to prepare to mitigate the impact of any side effects if they do occur.

No real way of knowing how your body will respond until you start. I tend to get my worst side effects 2-3 days after taking it. Took me a while to figure this out.

So for example today I took it this afternoon. Totally fine all evening and will be fine tomorrow. Sunday I may start to feel something. My side effects are usually feeling extremely cold for about 24 hours, and then about days 3-6 I usually get terrible sulphur burps regardless of what I eat. However I am on quite a high dose and this didn't start until 10mg.

I do Wednesday evening, I’m in the office the next day and have always been fine.
