Period on mounjaro

Hey!
I’ve been on 2.5mg for 8weeks, not had a period for around 7 years and all of a sudden I’m having a real heavy one.
has anybody else randomly had periods come back.
only 31, not menopausal or anything just haven’t had a period for years. I’ve been on many contraceptives ie, coil/pill etc so I don’t know if that’s what’s not given me one but been off everything for around 4 months.

Obesity can stop periods and even a small reduction in BMI can cause them to restart.

I've been on MJ for the last 9 months, I'm on the implant and no periods, since starting MJ I have very irregular and sometimes heavy periods. Apparently hormones are stored in fat reserves, as they reduce it can trigger irregular periods.

There was a warning on one off the Mj sites that said contraception might not work properly and so you should use additional protection. When starting MJ..... could it be related to that?

I would speak to a dr tho and ask their advice.

My periods have always been pretty regular and MJ doesn't seem to have changed that but holy fuck, the period pain is off the scale and much heavier than they were before (and they were pretty heavy even then). I have two days a month now where I'm just about capable of functioning so long as I've taken every available painkiller.
