DP no longer snoring loudly and other surprising side effects

Just that really, DP has been on MJ for a few months and I’ve noticed he no longer has the hideously loud bouts of snoring since losing a few stone which is a welcomed revelation. His mood seems to be levelled also, especially as he’s had a stressful few weeks where he would normally be irritable, his patience has definitely extended 😅

Has anyone else noticed small yet significant changes?

Oh, so many! Less/barely any pain, no more feeling bloated, not sweating much, generally much more relaxed, sugar within normal range, cholesterol back to normal, no more issues with liver

It's a well known fact that being overweight makes you snore

Mounjaro

Yes, this is a reported effect of Mounjaro. For some people it stops snoring from the first week.

Further evidence that this is not just 'cos overweight makes you snore' (does no-one actually use google anymore??) lies in the results of a recent clinical trial on the effect of Mounjaro on obstructive sleep apnoea which showed tirzepatide reduced moderate-to-severe OSA severity by up to 62.8% - almost two thirds. As a result the drug has just been approved by the FDA in USA for its direct treatment.

I've noticed that chronic eczema has cleared up since I started on Mounjaro. I used to have constant itching especially on my hands. Nothing since I've started mj

Yes, my joint pain and asthma almost disappeared straight away on the lowest dose. Very odd,in a good way.

Wow I wonder if that's an nflammation thing. I'm hoping to start v soon and this would be brilliant if it does this for me..

Unfortunately I'm awake now due to my partners snoring and he won't be starting MJ!

ThatSchoolOfficeLady · 29/12/2024 07:11

I think this one is just me, but I used to be super sensitive to caffeine, to the point where I only drank coffee at breakfast time or I was awake all night, and now I just drop right off even if I've been drinking coffee all day.

Wow I did not know that it has been proven for sleep apnoea- I thought the impact on mine was weight loss but now I think about it it kicked in from week two

I’m hoping it’s due to the weight loss because once DP decides to come off MJ will it start up again?
