15kg in 3 months - Achievable?

Hi all,

I started a lengthier more detailed post but I will keep this short and sweet for more responses. I am looking to lose 15kg (33lb) in 3 months. Do you think this is achievable with weight loss injections?

You could but imo, wli isn't something you should put a deadline to just to avoid disappointment. The average loss is about 1 to 2lbs a week, some lose less, some lose more. You just never know how yours would go and if you have an expectation or urgent need to reach a certain point, it could go differently.

Just take it and see how it goes, would be my advice. If you lose 15kg in 3 months, fantastic. If not, take the loss you have as a win still.

IMustBeInvisible · 26/12/2024 20:43

Assuming you meet the criteria, that is.

Okayornot · 26/12/2024 20:46

It is absolutely achievable, and is what I have lost since September. Whether it works that way for you will depend on how you respond and also how disciplined you are re cutting carbs (or at least prioritising good proteins) and calories.

Good luck!

I have a BMI of 34.9 so definitely meet the criteria

I've been on mounjaro for 5 months and have lost 5 stone 4lb in total.

Obviously people who have more weight to loose will loose it quicker than those who don't.

I read your previous post OP - I understand the rush. I would go for it with MJ x

Fair comment. Obviously any loss achieved would be a win

I’ve lost 12.5 kg since mid September by low carbing and my BMI was 29. 4 ( ish) at the start so I would imagine it’s very attainable with or without injectables . Good luck .

I’ve been on for 5 months and lose 1-2 lbs a week. I started at BMI 35.5 and am now 29.5 having lost 18kg

Caffeineneedednow · 26/12/2024 20:53

I have lost 2 stone in 3 months which while amazing is not the level your looking at.
I agree with @IMustBeInvisible

Luluem · 26/12/2024 20:56

@Caffeineneedednow that's 13kg so it is basically what the OP is looking for. Well done!

That is a great achievement and very reassuring that I can lose a good amount even if I don’t quite reach my target ☺️

I've lost ten pound since September 18th to give you an alternative. Was 200lb, now about 195 as gained a little over the last week or so. I didn't start to lose until 10mg, we don't all react the same.n

I’ve lost 12 kgs in 12 weeks (starting BMI was 32). Unless your BMI is higher, I don’t think you’d lose much more - half to one kg a week is safe.

doodleschnoodle · 26/12/2024 23:50

I started on Sept 4th at 203 lbs.

Today I weighed 155lbs.

So nearly 50lbs since start of September, which is 22.5kg or something.

Well done on your weight loss! My BMI is just under 35 so a bit higher than you.

Wow that’s a great loss! Well done you! I’m around 210 lbs so slightly heavier than you. I would be amazed if I could lose that amount ☺️

Yes it is possible, to be in with the best chance you have to adapt your diet to be as nutritionally healthy as possible. Make sure whatever you are eating isn’t processed or fast food. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, soups, salads, crudités, natural yogurt and drink a lot of water. Keep alcohol consumption low or non existent. Get active.
