Mounjaro long term effects

Hi everyone.
I took Mounjaro for 3.5 months and lost 3.5 stone.
I stopped using it as I wanted to try for a baby (need to be off for 2 months minimum) and I also started getting fed up of some side effects.
I have now been off it for over 12 weeks and having horrendous stomach issues.
Currently under investigations for gallstones but also just have constant issues with my bowels and feel like I have a constant stomach ache.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this issue?
I'm so happy I lost the weight but also have an element of regret due to all these issues.
Thanks

Did you have any issues when taking it?

Did you have any issues when taking it?

I had some constipation, some mild nausea at times but it was mainly tiredness which I got fed up with!

I gave it up due to horrific and often unpredictable side effects such as sulphur burps which were horrendous- but no issues since stopping other than weight gain 🙈 I was in it for about five months

I personally have not seen many posts with issues after stopping MJ (or have missed them). Perhaps because most are still taking it now as they haven't reach the stage to maintain yet.

I don't have any advice, but it is a concern how my body will react when I stop.

What type of issues do you have now? Is it still nausea and constipation, or pain? What dose did you get up to and did you stop or taper down?

Have you had any feedback from your, provider or Eli Lilly if it is likely to be related to stopping and did they recommend anything? You can contact Eli Lilly directly through their website if you want to ask them if they have seen similar.

It’s good that your doctors are getting you checked for gallstones. Being obese can cause gallstones, rapid weight loss can cause it as well so one can’t win.
It’s good that you listened to your body and you’re getting it checked out. Also see maybe your former prescriber can still advise but many people are still on it so the after effects, if any might not be known yet.
