Anyone using the Family chemist for Mounjaro?

I’m currently with a different provider but would like to move to TFC as I like their long term maintenance plan. If you are with TFC, are you happy with the service and delivery? Please let me know of any good/bad experience.

TIA

For some reason I can't seem to access their website, is it my computer I wonder? Sorry that is a bit unhelpful.

@Orangesandlemons77 thank you. Anyone else?

I'm also curious - I want to switch, and am thinking (already!) about long term maintenance.

I used them for my 5mg pen and moved from pharmacy2u. They took a bit of time, around 1 week and several emails to get my pen to me, so I didn't want to try them again and now moved to pillsorted who had a really quick service, 24hr turnaround!

@Mysticmaiden2024 thank you for sharing - it’s a bit worrying. I’ve got to think it over…

@Swalwey @Vegemite123 I've used them from the start of my taking MJ as I also liked their maintenance option. First and 2nd pens took 5 days from ordering to delivery, and my 3rd pen was delivered the day after ordering. 4th pen ordered yesterday and I've just received notification that it will be delivered today. I'm very happy with the service from them so far.

@Bellablahhole thank you! That’s very helpful.

please i will like to know if the MJ from the TFC is working for you and how long it took before you started seeing difference in your weight.

@deede204 Mounjaro is Mounjaro - as long as you don’t buy fake drugs on the black market, all suppliers sell exactly the same pens.

TFC is a real pharmacy and the Mounjaro they provide is the same as Boots etc.

Mounjaro always worked for me, I started loosing weight in my first week and kept going. I was a super responder: I lost over 50 kilos in 8 months. If you are not losing weight, you may need to increase your dosage and to change your diet. What worked for me was intermittent fasting, cutting out carbs and UPF completely, and lots of raw fruit, veg and herbal tea.

I’m now at the maintenance stage and have maintenance plans with both TFC and Oushk. This is because TFC has had supply shortages, with some doses being unavailable at times. Being signed up with two suppliers gives me peace of mind. Oushk’s maintenance plan is also more flexible, they support microdosing and making pens last longer, with less frequent appointments. To be clear, I’m not taking double the doses - I alternate suppliers as needed.

I had a pen from them last year. I was very keen on them due to their published stance on maintenance, price and the availability of a prescriber to talk to.

Never bought another one from them as it took ages to be approved and was then sent out without notice barring an email to say it would come the next day and I had to be in all day to sign for it.

I thought I would post an update on the Family Chemist, specifically in relation to their maintenance policy.

i had a video consultation a few weeks ago, they checked my height and weight, and confirmed I was suitable for maintenance. They said they want a BMI of 21 or above - fine.

They then had no supplies for a week or so because of the upcoming price hike. When they announced they had restocked, I placed an order - only to have it denied. Apparently at BMI of 22 (not 21 as mentioned in the consultation), I would need to send them full body videos every month, showing my weight and height.

This was never mentioned in my consultation- it’s just too much trouble when my weight has been stable and healthy for months now. I pointed out that they have video evidence from the consultation just a few weeks ago, but they said I still need to send a video every time I order - a video that someone else has to film, as how can I get a full body video of myself on the scales? And why on earth do they need height measurement videos every month?

I think this is pretty poor of TFC, and not at all supportive of maintenance. Given their frequent supply issues, I’m just going to take my business elsewhere.
