Do any suppliers post delivery through your letterbox?

Or do they all require someone to be in to accept the delivery? I'm currently with Asda as I can collect it from the pharmacy, but I'd like to 'shop around'. However I'm never in during the day to accept delivery.

No they can't post it through your letterbox, the box is too big to fit through. They need to hand it to someone or have access to your porch or any safe place to leave it for you to collect. Some need to be signed for. It all depends on the provider/courier's option you chose.

I have the same problem, so I get it delivered to a locker and pick it up in the evening - do you have a locker service somewhere near you that can do it?

ThatSchoolOfficeLady · 01/12/2024 08:32

Thank you @IMustBeInvisible Do you know any that will leave in a safe place?

@BearOnABlanket thank you! Tons of amazon ones. I'll do a Google to see which other carriers do. I hadn't thought of that.

With both RM and DPD, you can choose to leave your package in a safe space. You'll have to go to their websites once you've gotten the tracking number and click on those options for your delivery so that the driver knows what to do once they're delivering to you.

Most of the MJ providers will use either RM or DPD for delivery, or have options for both so it's your choice who to use. If DPD is rubbish in your area then you can choose RM, and vice versa.

IMustBeInvisible · 01/12/2024 08:47

Amazon does offer to leave in locker but I'm not sure about RM or DPD, they only seem to offer to send to their depot/local office for you to pick up instead of delivering to you. So you can choose that option too or any other collection option they have. I think a 'Collect' service? Not sure.

ThatSchoolOfficeLady · 01/12/2024 08:50

@BearOnABlanket who you use please, if you don't mind me asking?

With refrigerated items, the delivery options can be limited. I wonder if pp is talking about refrigerated WLI or other packages?

Lola3034 · 01/12/2024 10:18

I am using Medexpress right now and they use Royal Mail. The box is too big for a letterbox but I had it delivered to neighbours on few occasions (on first name terms with my Postie😅 and neighbours). I make sure that I time my order as well. Never order before weekend because it might get stuck in a depot over weekend and can arrive warm. I order on Sunday. That way it gets dispatched and delivered quickly and the ice pack is still cold.

WeAllHaveWings · 01/12/2024 11:34

I believe Oushk has two Royal Mail options, as when they tried to change it to make it more secure with signed by only delivery options customers who could not be home for deliveries were not keen. The reason they did this was because pens were going missing and it was significantly impacting them replacing so many.

One of the Royal Mail options allows for leaving in a safe place, but you do this at your own risk. So if your pen is delivered and then stolen/lost, or in winter freezes outdoors, or any other issue that is not Oushk or the couriers responsibility, they will not replace.

Oushk also allow you to pick a date for delivery including Saturdays if that helps.

unsync · 01/12/2024 11:52

If it is a cost reason, try asking them for a discount. I've been given some discounts recently to encourage me to stay with Asda.

ThatSchoolOfficeLady · 01/12/2024 12:13

Thanks @unsync I'll message them now and ask. They did send a 10% off email, but it expired before I could use it as it only lasted for 7 days.

MedExpress uses royal mail and I can set my preference to leave it at the back door. Which I have done for the last two pens.

@IMustBeInvisible hoe do you get Mounjaro from Amazon? I have never heard this before.

Doggymummar · 01/12/2024 14:45

I use Chequp and they use royal mail. I WFH so can take delivery but otherwise my safe space is under the car

Not mounjaro. Was talking about delivery service of amazon giving you locker options but I don't think provider's couriers have locker options for refrigerated packages like WLI. That's why I was wondering if pp who mentioned locker delivery was talking about Mounjaro or just general packages. I've never heard of WLI being left in a locker service.
