3.75 from a 5mg MJ Pen - How Many Doses?

I've just started 5mg MJ but as I got good suppression on 2.5, I'm trying 3.75 to see how I go.

Has anyone done this throughout the life of the second pen? How many doses do you get in total if you stick at 3.75, assuming there's the bonus dose?

I know there's the 30 day limit for the integrity and safety of the pen - just wanted to find out!

I just did one dose of 3.75 and then moved up to 5mg after as it went okay with no side effects.

I have used 3 pens (19 weeks) with 3.75mg (45 clicks). Just started 4th pen today still on 3.75mg.

I get 5 doses out the pen without having to hard twist or use a syringe. These will all be within the 30 days.

On the 6th dose I get 22-23 clicks before the pen stops. With each pen I have then successfully hard twisted with the help of pliers up to around the 45 click mark (marked it on first dose with a biro to make it easy to find).

I have syringes on standby incase the hard twist does not work.

I have also found (just of of interest on my last pen) there is also 0.3ml left to extract from the pen after the 6th dose, which I don't use.

It is up to you to do your own risk assessment if you are comfortable going for a 6th dose outside those 30 days, don't just take my experience. 6 doses would be on days 0,7,14,21,28,35. Personally I am comfortable with 5 days over the 30 day limit, I see this as low risk, and I would not go any further than those 5 days.

You will need to be aware of your providers rules for regular ordering of pens and whether they will question it if you are only ordering every 5-6 weeks.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I thought I might get 6 doses out of the 5mg pen if I stick with 3.75, so I appreciate your wisdom. Are you ordering the 5mg pen on repeat then stashing in the fridge?

I'm undecided whether to do the same as you or stick at the bonus dose. I'll see how I feel closer to the time. If I do go for the 6th dose, it would be with an abundance of caution to offset the risk.

I’ve had four doses of 3.75, and thank you to @WeAllHaveWings for your tips - I was wondering if it would be tricky to get the 5th dose out. And, can’t believe I didn’t think of marking 45 clicks in the pen!!

I’ve been complaining about my minimal (100g) loss this week. But my suppression is helping me keep my calories down, I’m not sure I should eat less.

@Tradthat I have been buying every 5 weeks and supplier hasn't commented yet.

I switched to them 3 pens ago so they might assume I had a stash already, but I also think from a recent Q&A they did they are realistic and know many people use 5th doses.

My next pen arrives a couple of weeks before I need it, I am planning to postpone my next delivery date and if they ask say I stopped for a couple of weeks over Christmas (don't plan to stop) to get back a couple of weeks. I don't really want to have a stash in the fridge in case I need to go up a dose at any point.

Why are you moving up?

The suppression is diminishing.
