Taking Mounjaro out the fridge

Hello, just wondering if anyone has done similar. I've opened and used my current mounjaro pen once and have been keeping it in the fridge. However today my fridge has packed up and died and it's going to take me a few days if not longer to source a new one. Will I be okay to keep using my mounjaro pen and keep it in a cupboard at room temperature? Feeling so unsure and it's so expensive I can't afford to not use the next 3 weeks.

Totally fine.. only needs to be in fridge until you take your 1st dose.. I keep mine in my bedroom drawer once I've started..

Yep, agree that it's totally fine. Once you've started using it you've got 30 days to use it and it can be kept at room temperature or in the fridge. Just down to preference.

To store long term before using it, it needs to stay in the fridge and can be stored there until its use by date printed on the pen and the box.

Thank you both! It's caused me a lot of stress, but I will keep it out the fridge now and hope for the best!

Have a read of the instructions in the box which tell you the storage instructions for unused and used pens.

Hi all, joined this evening.

I started taking Mounjaro on the 28th October and tomorrow I start my 5mg pen but I shall just give myself 3.75mg to see how I get on initially.

so far I have lost 22lbs.

How is everyone else doing/feeling? 😊

Why would you mess about with doses?

Because I felt unwell when I first started on the 2.5mg but stuck with it.
I’ve decided to go up gradually.

I’m in no massive rush to lose the weight, slow and steady.

@morbidcuriosity do you keep it in the box in the drawer?

@Danielle8p yep.. no reason, i live alone so not hiding it from anyone etc.. just easier, keep it in box next to spare needles and syringes. good idea to take a pic of the box with name and date, just incase you switch providers, they will need proof you are already on the medication..
