3.75 out of 5 dose?

Sorry, I've seen this before but can't seem to find the answer now.

I want to move up to 5 gradually (been on 2.5 for months now but it's becoming less effective)

How many clicks for 3.75 on a 5 mounjaro pen?

Does anyone have any conversion table pictures?

Eg number of clicks on each pen for different doses.

SilenceInside · 19/11/2024 19:26

You can work it out, without needing to refer to a table. The maths is just

(Dose you want / pen dose) x 60

Eg

(3.75 / 5) x 60 = 45 clicks

That's fantastic thank you!

Do you know how it works if using an insulin syringe? The conversion amount I mean.

SilenceInside · 19/11/2024 20:53

With a syringe, to calculate the mg dose the maths is:

(amount in syringe in ml / 0.6) x dose of pen in mg

The syringes are 1ml, so the amount that you draw out in ml will be less than 1.
eg for 0.7ml out of a 5mg pen it would be (0.7 / 0.6) x 5 = 5.83mg dose.

You're a legend thank you!

Final question- if using a syringe how do you prime it safely? Is it point up, tap to get bubbles to top, then push a drop out to prime it?

@Jabtastic yes I would assume so. I have not ever used separate syringes as I'm somewhat phobic of needles and wouldn't be keen on handling them. The teeny needle on the pen is all I can handle, mainly because it doesn't look anything like a syringe!
