Facial rash/hives after MJ?

I took my second 5mg dose (so 6 weeks in) last night and my face immediately flared up with hives / a hot, prickly rash. I've taken an antihistamine this morning but it's still quite visible and very uncomfortable.

I'm really surprised that this has happened now as I've had basically no real side effects to date, but I wanted to ask whether anyone else had experienced this and whether it persisted?

So far, I'm having great effects from taking MJ and have been feeling generally well overall, so I'd be really gutted if I had to stop now!

Thanks

Do not take another dose without talking to a doctor. This can be the start of an allergic reaction which could become severe if you administer the drug again.

That's concerning, but thanks - I'll book an appointment and hold off on any more jabs for now. I've tried to read about delayed reactions but can't find much info. It just seems so odd that I've only just had a reaction after all this time.

Agree with pp - allergic reaction is listed by the manufacturer as a possible side effect. See your GP and also consider reporting your reaction to the Yellow Card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk

Hope it goes down soon. Your GP might prescribe a topical cream to help.

Thank you. I've seen a pharmacist today who has given me some strong antihistamines but it's still pretty inflamed. I'll speak to the GP and see if they can shed any light.
