Asda taking much longer to fulfill orders.

Just a tip if you normally order from Asda you need to order in advance.
I've always had my delivery the following day after ordering before. Now it can take several days to even be authorised.
Ordered on Monday, asked for an updated 3 pictures with dates on & the order is still pending.
Are other companies this incompetent?

I re-ordered with Asda last week and it came as quickly as it usually does, pretty much two days after I ordered it. They've been like that since the start for me.

If they've asked for dated photos then presumably the delay is because they need a doctor to review and approve. Has your BMI dropped below 30 or something like that?

Ordered Monday late pm it's in stock today PM a lot better than boots.

Cantonet · 30/10/2024 14:10

No @SilenceInside it's very close to under 30 but not quite there yet. However it's 6 months since my last photo. So I'm assuming that's the reason. There's also very stringent instructions for the photo taking
Yes, that may be true, they need a doctor to check the photos, but they should be emailing everyone if that is the case.
I should have injected yesterday & I'm now going to be several days late which is extremely annoying. Apparently it can take up to 72 hours for the updated photos to be reviewed.

I think they do say they take longer if photos are required. I've ordered from them and always get within 3 days of ordering but haven't needed updated photos as of yet!

I ordered my first pen with Asda and didn’t think the turnaround time was too bad. It was very clear what it would be when I placed the order and in the follow up emails for when I need to place next orders. It took 5 days to get the pen but that included a weekend. I submitted the order on a Thursday, was then asked to submit photos 2 hours later but didn’t see the message requesting them until the evening, so submitted them. Was told standard response time for photos/messages was 48-72 hours, and that if nothing has happened by 4pm on a Friday then it won’t until the following week (including order dispatches). So mine got approved on the Monday morning (so within 48 working hours) and it was available to pick up by at my local pharmacy by 3pm on the Tuesday.

I did also get an email telling me to always order my next pen 2 weeks before I need to allow time for processing etc to avoid being in the position where I’m late taking a dose. So that’s something I’m going - did 3rd injection last night and ordering next dose today, so giving me 2 weeks until I need to take dose 5.

@Cantonet was just coming on the say exactly the same thing.
I sent my photos in as requested but because the weight is a teeny amount out from what i typed 2 days earlier, it has flagged a discrepancy. Asda asked for an explanation and more photos.
This whole process has taken 9 days! Still no response and its is Friday tomortow so no shipping.
Extremely frustrating.

AcanthusFlower · 31/10/2024 11:02

Oops, excuse the typos!
Also to clarify, it's 9 days so far & still no response 65hrs after my last submission.

SilenceInside · 31/10/2024 11:04

@AcanthusFlower are you also at the 6 months point or at the point where your BMI is at the 30 boundary?

AcanthusFlower · 31/10/2024 11:13

@SilenceInside both, 6 months & BMI 30.
Up until now the service has been spot on. This is the first month I've cut it fine ordering because I haven't been at home for the delivery.

SilenceInside · 31/10/2024 11:17

Thanks @AcanthusFlower I'm just over 4 months in so I will be coming up to the 6 months timeframe at the end of December. I don't think my BMI will be near to 30 at that point, but I guess they'll probably review anyway. I'll need to make sure I get my next order in with enough time to allow for the several days extra needed to check photos and answer any other questions they have.

AcanthusFlower · 31/10/2024 11:23

@SilenceInside absolutely, I've learnt my lesson! Good luck.
