At what BMI do different providers stop treatment?

I'm sure this has been done before but couldn't find it
As one approaches BMI of 30, I am.wondering if there are any providers that would stop treatment that point? So I can avoid them!
Like everyone else here I want to get into a healthy range BMI and want treatment until I get to that

Any recommendations?
Or providers to avoid?

Hopefully this will be of some use to any others who are looking treatment to a normal mid range BMI

Thanks if anyone can advisd

I think a bmi of 30 is still far away from any cut off point as it's the starting bmi for the criteria.

I know some pharmacies are happy to keep prescribing though as long as you need.
Cloud
Pharmulous
Pharmacy2u
Oushk (but you need a special consultation and to pay for it - £5 or so - and you'll go on one of their 3 maintenance plans as opposed to just continuing ordering your preferred dose, like you would with other pharmacies).

There's more but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

Some pharmacies will cut you off or let you taper down the doses when you get to 23 bmi.

I believe things will change and most pharmacies will get onboard prescribing for as long as needed (and without you needing a special paid consultation or paid plan for it). Some that had the 2 year prescription plan (like Cloud Pharmacy) have removed it now. It's no longer their updated policy.

Hey,

pulled some info that I had complied a while back.

The Family chemist : I believe they have a maintenance plan now.
Curate: up to 2 years
Cloud: up to 2 years
Boots: Cut off at BMI 23
Asda: Cut off at a healthy BMI
Zava: cut off at healthy BMI
Pharmacy2u: Will supply for maintenance
Bolt:Individual assessment once BMI 22 and does offer maintenance
Med Express: support maintenance upto 2
years. But will cut you off if your BMI falls below 23.5
Oushk: has maintenance plans and will support you after getting to your goal weight. Offer 15% off pens and free delivery once in maintenance

I haven't kept up with all the info on this so there might well be more that offer maintenance than I know about or any others that cut you off.

Thanks so much- this is fantastic

I mean my BMI is still above 30 (and my starting BMI was just over 35)

So I am just thinking ahead
I was concerned that a provider could cut off early, which you're right, makes no sense as BMi 30 could be the start of treatment for someone. Just my paranoia then!

I think I'll switch from Asda to a provider that brings patients to well within that healthy BMi, not just at the top of the range

I really appreciate your both your responses as I'll choose from these

@Searchingforthelight Don't worry, you'll be fine. I totally understand planning ahead.Smile

Yes any of them would do and I think there's a lot of recent information on the 'MounjaroUK' and 'UKMounjaro' reddit forums, though I don't use Reddit often. You'll find more pharmacies to choose from (or people waiting for updates from them) who now do maintenance with no 'x' year limit as well.

Boots is cut-off at 22. I plan to be in maintenance dose at 23-24 (23 for me that means 59kg). Currently 25.5.
