Where did you lose fat first? Mounjaro

I've been on it 3 weeks and lost 6ibs, I've noticed my face looks slimmer but still no noticeable difference on my body - blah.

Where did you lose fat first, and see a noticeable difference?

I've lost 1.5 stone so far and not noticed a massive difference in my body shape, but my coat now does up and my bras are baggy, so I deduce it's come off my boobs and my gut.

I was always a pear shape until the last few years when I became a barrel. So it feels like my body has so far adopted a 'last in, first out' approach to the flab.

LionAndEmperor13 · 21/10/2024 11:30

My face/neck/chin area, and that's still probably the most noticeable. But body-wise, more from my waist, which is great as that's where most of my fat is (was!)

Moier · 21/10/2024 11:34

12 weeks in.( Start my 10mg tonight) 2 and half stone down.
My face first... then my thighs and upper arms .
Belly and bum last to go.
Gone down two ( nearly 3 dress sizes) l was a size 26.
Selling and buying on vinted.
Just winter clothes to tide me over.
Will wait until spring and more slimmer for more new clothes.
My feet even got slimmer.. I'm wearing thicker n two pair of socks in my boots lol.
Good luck on your weight loss journey.

Thank you all for your positive responses and sharing your amazing weight losses! I'm going lose my belly fat, as I have this horrendous pouch of fat that's been with me since I was 18. Can't wait to see results. Good luck all.

How long did it take you to go up to 10 mg? I’m on 5mg (2nd jab tonight) but feeling very sick so wondering if everyone moves up?

Bellyblueboy · 21/10/2024 12:32

I am also very early - three weeks in 12lbs down.

I have noticed my face is slimmer. My tailored work trousers are also not as tight, so I have definitely lost weight around my stomach.

Like most of us I have lost weight many many times before😂. The first third (a stone for me) I usually don’t notice much differed - it’s the second stoke when I go down a dress size and people start to notice.

doodleschnoodle · 21/10/2024 12:38

I'm 2 stone down since starting in early September. I think probably my face and my stomach mostly. My stomach still feels big and squishy but objectively I know it's reduced because stuff is fitting better.

Bonitalazenia · 21/10/2024 12:49

Im interested in trying this, can anybody recommend a reputable supplier and idea of cost or is it prescription only?

Bellyblueboy · 21/10/2024 12:54

I use med express. You need a prescription but you can get that online from any reputable online pharmacy.

it costs between £120 and £200 a month depending on supplier and strength of medication. Everyone starts low and builds up.

I have none as it is, can't afford to lose these bad boys too, but I'd rather no boobs than be obese I guess!

I’m not sure where I lost it from first but I seem to have lost most of it from my tits 🤣🤣

VioletCrawleyForever · 21/10/2024 13:39

Face then tummy then hands

Doggymummar · 21/10/2024 13:42

My boobs! I've had to go from a 36h to a 34 hh just Vinted for now

Xiaoxiong · 21/10/2024 15:47

I didn't notice any changes at all until I was 10lbs down at least. I first noticed my trouser waistband was looser, my double chin was smaller and my face was a bit slimmer.

Now that I'm 25lbs down, I feel like I've gradually deflated all over and not just in one place. My stomach is much smaller, I can get my upper arms and back into blouses that were too small to get into before and they actually button up without gaping, my thighs must be smaller as I can pull trousers up that previously wouldn't go past my knees. My rings are looser on my hands, and my boobs are smaller (though I had plenty to lose so I'm over the moon about that). I haven't lost anything on my bum but I didn't have much fat there anyway - it always went on my belly and boobs so that's where it's mostly coming off now.

I have to say that even 25lbs lighter, vanity clothing sizes/stretchy fabric being what they are I'm still wearing the same size bra and clothes as before - I'm just not straining/stretching/spilling out of them like I was, and everything fits much better. I think I probably have another 10lbs at least before I go down a whole dress size.

Allmyfavouritepeople · 21/10/2024 16:04

Lost a stone and it's mostly come off my arms and torso from the waist upwards, so still have the same size love handles but smaller around the ribcage. My arms were instantly noticeable though it was quite strange!

Mirrorxxx · 21/10/2024 16:07

So far my stomach and boobs. Not so much my face or arms yet

Bignanna · 21/10/2024 16:21

The resulting sagging skin, only removable by surgery would be one of the less welcome side affects of these drugs. I actually ordered Wegovy , then cancelled it!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/10/2024 16:25

Doubt that's true about the skin in every case. I think it will depend on age and skin elasticity, and then on how much each person lost. 4 stone plus off, then maybe. 2-3 stone off, not so likely.

HobnobsChoice · 21/10/2024 16:29

Four and a half months in and 4stone 7lb down. I lost it from my chin/neck most noticeably first and then thighs boobs and belly. It's all over though but my body has changed since it last weighed this amount, two big babies and a c section plus ageing means it's never going to look like I did in my early 20s but it's not as bad as I feared. I'm down from a size 22 to an 18. I had kept a bag of my nicer size 18 clothes and they are fit or are slightly baggy so I'm also doing some eBay/vinted shopping just for a couple of pairs of work trousers that don't fall down when I move.

Between us on this thread we have lost something like 13 stone! That's amazing. No wonder they think planes will need less fuel if people use it.

But it’s not a side effect of the drug! It’s a result of weight loss for the very obese. Anyone who loses a lot of weight runs this risk?

All weight loss should be at a healthy pace.

It sounds as if the weight loss is very fast!

Whereisthewine · 21/10/2024 17:06

Tummy first for me, feel like I've deflated 😂

Ruthietuthie · 21/10/2024 17:39

@Bignanna, the sagging skin is a result of any weight loss. The weigh loss doesn't have to be fast, if you focus on good nutrition at the same time. I have lost nearly 50 lbs since May. It's one of the best things I have ever done.

SilenceInside · 21/10/2024 17:48

@Bignanna weight loss varies massively depending on the individual. Fast weight loss is not a guarantee of loose skin, it mainly depends on age, genetics, ethnicity and so on. I'm curious as to your focus on this one possible aspect of weight loss, especially as you are not taking any weight loss injections and don't intend to take any.

I was morbidly obese when I started, I'd much rather be a healthy weight with loose skin than remain morbidly obese.
