Did I mess up my injecting?

I'm only on week 2 of Mounjaro and I just did the second injection.

I was injecting the medicine in to my thigh waiting for the 0 to appear in the window of the injection pen. The 0 just appeared in the window and I don't know how/why, I took the pen off my thigh instead of waiting for the 5 seconds. The 0 also wasn't fully in the middle of the window. There was medicine fluid about the size of the little dot that is expelled during the flow test next to the pinprick on my thigh. I then put the needle back in my thigh, decompressed it until the 0 was definitely in the middle of the window, counted 5 seconds and then took it out.

Did I massively screw it up? 😭

No not even slightly. A tiny bit of fluid on the skin isn't unusual. You've injected the full dose, don't worry.

@SilenceInside oh wow thank you! That is such a relief!

No worries. I did my 15th injection this morning, I don't even look at the instructions any more.

Sounds like you did it exactly right 👍

It's quite normal for a droplet to remain on the needle tip when you pull it out.

For future reference, you shouldn't really reinsert the needle once you have withdrawn it, if you need to reinsert in future, use a new needle.

The difference in dose if the 0 was in but not completely centre in the window is negligible.

A drop when you remove the needle is normal.

Avoid using the same needle twice, even on same day. The risk is low, but still a risk.
