Where to order without photos

ineedteanownotlater · 16/10/2024 20:09

I have tried to order a couple of times from different places but they take money, then ask for photos, then say they don't think I meet the criteria.

I do! I really do. My BMI is 33. I don't think it helps that I am trying to take the photos myself and don't own a mirror.

So, is there anywhere that I can order, answer the questions but not have to send photos.

Get a mirror that hangs over a door, they're only about a tenner

ChunkyTrees · 16/10/2024 20:10

Probably not advisable but if you can't get somebody else to take a photo I'd have a go at editing them slightly...

Mirrors are really cheap, you can get a full length one from Argos, Dunelm, loads of places for 10 to 15 quid.

Also are you wearing figure hugging tight clothes and taking pictures from the side as well as the front?

Any provider that doesn't do even basic checks with photos is not doing due diligence which would concern me about their practice in general.

I've been using phlo clinic for my mounjaro since May and never had to submit photos. My BMI was on the low side (27.5) but have a health condition that meant it was still suitable to prescribe, and they still didn't ask for photos.

WeAllHaveWings · 16/10/2024 20:16

I took mine with the phone timer, it took 4-5 goes to get the phone propped up correctly and catch the right pose.

Wear as tight fitting clingy clothes as possible.

KrankyKumquat · 16/10/2024 20:16

If you are bmi 33, you won't need to edit the photos! I think most pharmacies will be able to spot if a picture has been messed with. Just wear something revealing (shorts, leggings, etc) and a tight t -shirt (or pin it tight from behind) and ask someone else to take the photo or buy a mirror. It's really not hard and a small step to take to get prescribed.

Prop your phone up somewhere and use the timer. 5 or 10 seconds so you can stand in position before it captures.

Or ask if you can send them a video instead. Then you record yourself from head to toe, front and side view, and it should show you properly.

I had problems with my photo for Voy (I have no full length mirror) and they offered me a video call where I would stand on the scales instead. Would that be an option?

Do they contact your GP?

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 16/10/2024 21:21

go to a clothes shop and use their changing room mirror

endoflevelbaddy · 16/10/2024 22:52

@Lovelyaryan I think I ticked to say I was happy for them to inform my GP but they didn't ask for access to my records or anything.
Been to the GP a couple of times over last couple of weeks for unrelated issues and they've not mentioned it being on my records at all so I don't think they've been informed yet.

Take a video then screenshot a picture

PeachyKeane · 17/10/2024 11:08

I didn't need one with Numan. They've been really responsive as well and the order came really quickly. They have an app I'm using to log stuff as well.

I took a photo using my phone camera I propped my phone up on a table, pressed the 10 second delay button then just stood in front of it and it took my photo. Didn't need a mirror.

Good grief.
