Just cancelled my Voy subscription. Need help making a plan

I’ve been on MJ since July. I’ve had no appetite suppression, no reduction in food noise, no feelings of fullness (no side effects either). The scales are only 3kg down in 15 weeks. I should have been starting 10mg this week. I was hoping that, finally, I’d be up to a therapeutic dose and I might see some real impact. I’ve tried so hard to be patient!

But, for the 3rd time Voy have messed up my delivery. They sent the wrong pen (7.5mg again). Last month they sent me the 5 mg pen instead of 7.5 (they replaced it but it was inconvenient) and the previous month they sent it when I was out of the country despite me arranging a new date.

Given the lack of effect and the dispatch errors I’ve cancelled my subscription.

I need to figure out what to do next

A Find a new provider and move to MJ 10mg

B Find a new provider and try a different drug

C Give up

My BMI is 32. I’ve got over 30 kg to lose. I’m so fed up and am hoping to hear from people who’ve made changes to their meds

thanks!

I would go with A, I think. Give the higher doses a go with a more competent supplier.

Do you know of users who have suddenly found it started to work so late in the game (at 10mg but not previously)

I used Voy twice and had no issues with them. They're actually very good from my experience. I appreciate you have the opposite experience. Sorry about that. I don't use them anymore because they're expensive for me and i dont need the extra they offer, so not value for money.

My opinion is go with A. Don't let their mess up stop you from using Mounjaro. There are lots of different suppliers you can use and continue your journey. x

Lots of people only start seeing results when they get to 7.5mg or 10mg. It works differently for different bodies so it may be the case for you. It's not late at all.

SilenceInside · 16/10/2024 19:47

I know that was what they found in the research studies, that the weight loss was more effective at the higher doses, overall. I think having got to this point, for me, I'd want to try the 10, 12.5 or 15 before accepting that it didn't work for me.

I think that’s what I needed to hear.

Yeah, that’s a good point. I’ve come this far - titrating up (and so patiently too 😆)

Oh thanks. This will be really helpful. I’ve heard of Oushk - aren’t they one of the providers that have a maintenance plan?

Yes that's right, it is on their website

I'm thinking of changing to them too, as Voy sent me a 2.5mg pen when I asked for 7.5mg. My previous was 5mg so not sure why they did that.

I found out about the 2.5mg, it was because I re-joined as a new customer. They gave me a free pen anyway so it is fine now. But best to email them if you need to re-join so they can start you at the correct dose.

Can I ask, did Boy offer you a discount to stay? I'm considering cancelling as it's s much money but I cba with the admin.

I would also stick with MJ and use a different supplier. I wouldn't be put off or try Ozempic/wegovy. Maybe a change of GLP1 medication might work better for you. Good luck
