Can I inject in the evening after a day of poor choices?

Hello!

I have decided to start mounjaro and was going to take my first dose of 2.5mg this evening before bed so hopefully in the morning I start to feel the effects of the drug for my first day of clean eating… but as I’ve just had a feast on dominos followed by an apple crumble I’m a bit worried that if I jab with a full stomach I’ll feel the wrath of the side effects!!!

do we think I’ll be ok? Or advise to wait until the morning so I’ll be taking on an empty stomach! But then my concern is I’ll have to do the first day on willpower alone which I have very little of lol.

thanks for your help!

I think on balance in your situation, taking it tomorrow morning, or even later on tomorrow might be sensible. Assuming you ate a large portion of both of the things you mentioned, and not one slice of pizza and a small serving of crumble.

You might find that you feel the effects quickly, or at least have a placebo effect.

Do it on an evening.. makes you a tad tired.. but do it on a more healthy meal day.. ( might feel.a tad sick after greasy fatty food).
So try n eat better tomorrow then do it after your tea..

I would say don't risk it - do it tomorrow morning, evening or even the next day. If you do want to make Sunday your injection day, it's fine to have a slightly shorter week one week to move it back.

You might be fine, but just in case you're unlucky it would be a terrible introduction to mounjaro!

Yeah do it tomorrow, you could feel awful overnight, a bit of time to digest the food first will help.

I also think although the advice to jab in the evening is generally good for the first ever dose it is a bad idea to jab before bed in case you have a reaction.

Just an update, I jabbed last night as I’m impulsive and I was fine! Thank god. So happy to be on my MJ journey. Thanks for advice all
