Just as title says. I’ve moved from 2.5 to 5 and I’ve been so ill.

My stomach is churning constantly and I can’t eat and the thirst is beyond crazy. It’s now affecting my work as I can’t go to the office and the boss is not impressed!

Anyway can anyone help me settle my stomach please? 🙏

Cyclizine for nausea. You can get it OTC. Did you need to move up dose? You could maybe do it more gradually, so try 3.75 first.

Cyclizine

It's taken me 6 months to be able to take 5mg. I ended up having to do a half dose for months and then try and step up to 5. Third time lucky here, but the first two times were pretty rough.

Timeforicecream · 07/10/2024 22:48

Yeah this is brutal, I had my consultation and 5mg was prescribed so didn’t think much of it. I’ll definitely go back to the 2.5 dose as I can’t stick this. Will go straight to the chemist in the morning and get what’s been recommended.

thanks all.

Plus TMI but I am very constipated too and that’s not helping. Will need to try and drink more water. Even fluids make me feel worse atm.

Where are you getting cyclizine otc? I’m on it myself and it’s prescription only, when I was desperate I was told you can only get travel sickness otc now

I had this for two weeks on 5mg and was ready to stop taking it. Persevered and found next two doses fine with literally none of the symptoms.

I had sudden overwhelming nausea hit just before the 4th 7.5mg injection. It's not gone away. It's awful, but because I feel so sick I can barely eat anything, so I'm sticking with it while the scales are dropping rapidly.

Ask your gp for some ondansetron. Mine was happy to px even though I was buying the weightloss med privately. Better than cyclizine in my experience.
And buy some lactulose from the chemist for constipation.

That’s exactly how I feel. I was ready to give up. I went and got some stomach settlers and pain killers too.

it seems to have settled a little. I am going away for a week tomorrow so god knows I don’t want this, I wouldn’t be able to leave the hotel room.

You can get cyclizine on Ebay.

I had pretty unpleasant side effects (definitely not prepared to put up with) on 4.6 mg and 4.4 mg. Both times I dropped back down and then moved back up. This last time I am doing it slower - by staying on a sub dose for at least 3 weeks before moving up, I will try 4.6 mg again when 4.2 mg isn't giving me decent suppression and fingers crossed I will cope better with it then.

Anyway, my recommendation is to drop down and then do sub doses if you can find anything that effectively deals with the side effects.

I've been on MJ for six months and I'm still only on 10mg because of the nausea. I've found that split dosing stops it - so I take 8mg by counting the clicks on jab day, and then about 3 days later I take the remaining 2mg. I don't get nausea that way as I don't get such a high peak of mj, but I understand it's not how MJ is meant to be taken. (I use a different needle each time obvs)

@Mercury2702 I just bought it from MedExpress! I guess maybe they prescribe it, I can't remember the process!
