Advice please! I started at the end of April and I'm currently down 2st 10lb. However I've lost nothing for the last couple of months despite upping doses. I'm definitely eating less.. I just don't know where to go from here. I've a lot more to lose and it's getting very expensive. I'm currently on the 12.5mg dose but the weight isn't shifting!

Does anyone have any similar stories..what did you do? Debating to go back down but this seems really counter productive. Seems the side effects when I first started helped more than now when I don't have any!

Those iced lattes ? Skimmed or semi skimmed milk ?
I was seriously shocked when I ACTUALLY measured the "splash " of milk I put in my coffee.
So I drink coffee like a flat white but less milk...the amount of milk measures 100 MLS...that's 50 calories if semi , or 36 in skimmed.
Now a latte has 200 MLS of milk ...so at best you had 288 calories of milk...which I can't see you counted . If it was semi skimmed you were 400 calories...and 200 MLS is a small latte....
A Starbucks grand latte has 360 MLS of milk...so a skimmed milk one has 128 calories...

I don't drink coffee .. that was another poster.

Yes think I'll chat to them. I had horrible side effects on 2.5... 5mg then on 7.5mg everything stopped. I felt starving on that dose and definitely ate more than the first couple of months but that was the dose the weight just dropped off. Fingers crossed it kicks back in on a higher dose x

It’s funny, I have a document with my daily weights going back to April. I lost more on 2.5 and 5mg, I lost 5lbs a month on both those doses, lost a couple of pounds a month on 7.5mg, and nothing on 10mg and 1lb in the month I’ve been on 12.5mg.

maybe i should go back to a lower dose 😁

Glad Mounjaro put me off coffee as that would have been my downfall!

Some of the accounts I've looked at on tik tok when I started talked about how much protein they ate impacted their weight loss, and also where they were injecting.

So better results focusing on high protein and injecting in stomach. I know you've given just a snap shot of a days food, which may not be especially high calorie but didn't sound like it was high protein either, so maybe that will help.

I've been on around 4 months and definitely found the loss has slowed down as I'm getting used to the medication, nausea settling and being able to stomach alcohol and certain foods I'd not fancied for a while albeit still only in small amounts. It's still enough additional calories that loss slowed to 1-1.5 lb / wk (not complaining, it's still coming off and I'm nearly a healthy BMI now).

I also found I lost nothing when I tried injecting thigh to see if it was any different for side effects, not sure if you've tried different injection sites yet?

How about exercise? Maybe squeeze in a daily walk? Or doing a more energetic type of exercise at least once a week might be a kickstart to returning to weight loss.

When you think about it 1200 is nothing, and what a miserable existence that we all have to only eat that much, every single day.

I prescribe this for my patients with Diabetes and see the stall often ( used to be the same with Ozempic)
The things that help are switching to high protein full fat foods and adding in weight training. ( cardio is less effective) It seems to give the body a little metabolic boost in the right direction.
Caroline Girvan online workouts or Juice and Toya. Both are really easy ones to follow.
I have occasionally gone down a dose for patients for other reasons but have not found that has made a difference to weight loss.
Good luck

There is good advice in this link. You could also try the famine and feast theory.

I felt starving on that dose and definitely ate more than the first couple of months but that was the dose the weight just dropped off.

I would perhaps try to emulate this a little bit. Measure calories accurately for a week or so and then up then a little bit (200 per day) - but make the extra calories come from good quality proteins. See if that helps?

clip

I know this clip is very Americanised, but I just posted it because I just found it. Now some of us are much more aware if food choices, but to many they are not.

Admittedly 2 cans of Dr Pepper, but she used to eat 3,645 calories, easily without thinking.

I’ve had no suppression since I went up to 5mg and am now nearly at the end of 7.5mg. I haven’t lost any weight since the first month when I lost 3kg. It’s not affecting my appetite at all so it’s no wonder I’m not losing weight. It’s like I’m injecting something with no active ingredients. I don’t even get any side effects.

I’m going to book a call to chat with them. I wonder if some people just don’t respond to it. My BMI is 32, btw.

Definately in the studies there are a percentage of people it doesn't work or doesn't work as well for. I think they said 10-15 %

I am on a bit of a stall for one week after hitting 2 stone loss the week before. But still getting supression and feeling full so keepin going to see how it progresses.
