Starting Mounjaro after side effects on Wegovy

I took Wegovy for three months earlier this year but had to stop as the diarrhoea was awful to the point where I had to get up multiple times a night. I really need to lose some weight - menopausal and can't shift it at all. Has anyone else experienced side effects on Wegovy and swapped to Mounjaro and found that the side effects are less?

I swapped for the same reason except it was sickness rather than diarrhoea. MJ is much better side effects wise but I don't think it's as effective. I'm having to take a high dose to get the same appetite suppression which is expensive

Wegovy gave me terrible constipation and didn't work very well so I switched to Mounjaro. It works better but gave me stomach ache and diarrhoea when I went up to 7.5 and it took a few weeks to abate. Seems that side effects are inconsistent.

I've never taken Wegovy but I've been on MJ for 3 months now. I chose MJ because it is proven to be more effective and with less side effects.

MJ contains a GLP 1 hormone and a GIP whereas Wegovy is GLP 1 on its own.

Highly recommend mounjaro - changed my life.

Thanks all.

I was fine on the lowest dose and got good appetite suppression. It was only on week 3 of 0.5mg that the runs started. It was awful - couldn't keep off the loo after eating anything at all.

I think I'll give it a go and see how I get on. I'm so desperate to shift some flab!
