Alcohol and Mounjaro

I've been taking mounjaro for 5 weeks and I don't often drink but tomorrow is my birthday and I'd like a few alcoholic beverages - has anyone had any issues?

I don’t really fancy alcohol on mounjaro. I’ve had no ill effects when I have drunk apart from increased likelihood of indigestion or heartburn (but white wine gives me heartburn anyway)

Not really no. i don't feel the need to drink as much though. I'm no worse the next day than I would have been anyway. Just keep that water intake up!

(I'm also out tomorrow for my birthday - although my birthday was at the end of August - am dragging it out!)

I have been drinking as usual, no issues but dehydration headaches are more likely. You might find you struggle with high volume or fizzy drinks as they fill you up. I have found things taste sweeter which has put me off some wines.

I have kept on drinking alcohol! Possibly slightly less than usual, but not much. Felt fine the next day but have ensured that I have drunk a lot of water.

Is Mounjaro the
most effective weight loss pen? What foods need to be avoided to limit side effects?.
also has anyone tried this lost the desired weight & then kept it off without the infections?

I have very thin hair due to age & poor condition hair…so tempted to have hair extensions but worried they may make hair worse? Can some one advise please? .

PonyPatter44 · 14/09/2024 21:15

@India4 I found that the quick weight loss from Mounjaro has been TERRIBLE for my hair. It has thinned quite badly, and I have resorted to ruinously expensive Kerastase shampoo to try and sort it out, along with a biotin & collagen supplement every day.

I haven't avoided any foods in particular, but haven't wanted to eat processed food or drink much alcohol. Thts the best thing about MJ - I'm not on a diet as such, nothing is off limits, I just don't want to eat it!
