Voy won't allow me to stay at 5 dose

Hi all, I'm very disappointed by Voy customer service. 1 they didn't reply to my message for two weeks, I had to resend. I said I didn't want to up my dosage and they said it would be automatically increased according to my plan. They also didn't honour a discount for downloading the app. Anyone else had these problems? I think I may want to change provider if anyone could recommend one that will allow me to stay on 5 mg

Likewise unhappy with the responsiveness of their customer service. Their system has my start weight at 199 stones, which I asked them to correct and they’ve just ignored. At least this means I’ll never have an issue with BMI being too low, but it does make a mockery of the idea there are any clinicians monitoring the system…

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/09/2024 08:21

How strange. They did me and am cure Roy on my second 5.

I did use the 'talk to a clinician' button and they agreed and said they would let customer service know!

Appalling that they didn't respond for 2 weeks and not sure that is forgivable tbh

I think most pharmacies will allow you to stay on a dose for as long as you feel it is working. I am away at the moment so can't take any scales photos but I reckon I will be cancelling my Voy subscription and switching to the Family Chemist when I get home. I have done a LOT of reading about different providers as am a massive over thinker! 😂

Oushk have exceptional reviews if you're interested in a very personal service

I sent them an email about the discount and eventually it was put in place. Just keep on at them. I also wanted to stay on 5mg. Sent a couple of messages to customer services and didn’t get a response. I then sent a WhatsApp to my coach and she sorted it out for me. I’m planning on a third month at 5mg and will give them plenty of notice and will contact my coach again.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/09/2024 08:24

No idea where 'cure Roy'came from! That'll teach me to put my glasses on before typing!

Meant to say 'currently'!

Oh and they told me the app discount ran out 1/8 and it didn't seem to matter that I have been using it since the end of June😡

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 04/09/2024 08:25

I'm very happy with Asda pharmacy. It's not the cheapest but I've stayed at 2.5 for 3 pens as I still get good suppression and am still loosing.

NewoIkkin · 04/09/2024 08:49

I’m on my second month of 5mg with Pharmulous. They said it was fine.

Summerhillsquare · 04/09/2024 09:33

They have let me stay at 5 but they aren't super quick to respond. I'd quite like to move somewhere cheaper though as I don't find the coaching useful, but they say you can't once you're no longer obese.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/09/2024 10:11

@Summerhillsquare yes you can. You just need proof that you have been on Mounjaro already. Many pharmacies will take you on up until you have a bmi of 25. Just email a few and ask.

Am in the process of moving and they have said they need a picture of my prescription label or an invoice.

Dragonsbe · 04/09/2024 13:06

Thanks all, not good at tagging people in, but, I’m still obese so might look at another provider as not worth paying a premium for poor customer service! I can’t believe they push you to higher doses…I do worry about that.

Bolt have allowed me to stay on the same dose. If you suspect that Voy are pushing you onto higher doses for financial reasons then this is unethical and they should be reported to the CQC.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/09/2024 15:07

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping unlikely as Voy charge the same for all doses up to and including10. My own experience of asking to stay on 5 with them makes me wonder if there aha been a miscommunication between the OP and their customer service people (who family, are rubbish!!)

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 04/09/2024 15:12

@IReallyNeedThisToWork Ah, understood - thank you. Yikes, that's very expensive for the lower doses then, especially if the customer service is as poor as you and other pp say.

KeepinOn · 04/09/2024 15:18

The whole point of Voy's higher prices was the 'human' element and customer service. If they can't provide that, what's the point of paying those prices? Other reputable providers exist.

cakewench · 04/09/2024 22:54

This thread reminded me to cancel my Voy subscription. I thought you'd all be bemused to hear that, in addition to the pushy countdown clock ("if you resubscribe in 5 minutes you can have £50 off") they also send an email saying that if you're under 30 BMI now, no other medical provider will take you on, but they will take you back, etc.

Honestly, if they'd just lower their general prices a bit, maybe they wouldn't be struggling so much? 😆

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 05/09/2024 05:49

Ha! @cakewench I missed that bit of the email! Yep, it does indeed say that. Did you complete their survey?
