Pen from Boots came without needles or sharps bin

Has anyone else used Boots Online Dr for Mounjaro? I just picked up my first pen and don't have needles or a bin. I can't go back for a few days but wondered if that was just an error or normal and I have to order the needles separately.

Hey! How annoying for you! It definitely should come with both + alcohol wipes! All pharmacies provide these with the pen, you shouldn’t have to order anything extra.
I’ve seen another post from someone who got a sharps bin and needles from Boots but they forgot to give them the actual pen! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Don't use Boots myself but you should have had both of those. You can't use the pen unless you've got needles after all! Some providers, you have to ask for a sharps bin, it's not included by default, at least you can manage without one for now.

Thanks for the answers, I have messaged Boots and will see what they say. It's really annoying, I was planning on starting tomorrow. Never mind, just a few extra days won't hurt me!

I collected my first order from Boots a few days ago. Opened the bag at home (note to self….. check the bag contents in store) and received 4 x needles and 1 x sharps bin. Pen was still in the shop fridge. No alcohol wipes. On going back the next day I was given the pen but on asking about wipes was told I needed to buy…. But on this occasion they would supply.

I was the penless customer! I used Boots as I preferred to collect. But I won’t be using them again.

I had the same experience with Boots with my first pen - no needles or sharps bin, so had to go back and ask for them. With my second pen, I received everything... but someone else's inhaler in the bag with them!

I’ve never been given a sharps bin nor wipes from my supplier and I’m now using 10mg!

Ask for them to be sent out ASAP.

I used pharmacy 2 u and one time they forgot the needles. They were sent Royal Mail 24 the next day.

Considering Boots are so expensive they don't sound all that great.

It'll be med express who have now banned advertising of discount codes (not saying pp has done that) but they have been very hit and miss with delivery times and customer service.

Check out monj.co.uk which has lists of trusted suppliers, costs and discounts.

I moved over to Oushk as they do maintenance. I'm not there yet, but it made sense as my 10mg was £40 cheaper than my 7.5 with previous supplier.

🙂 I did get my needles, in fact they sent me a box of 100 of them! I didn’t change suppliers, although I may well do that soon to get access to a maintenance plan.

Word of warning, if you do go to Oushk for maintenance, have a photo of yourself ready, a photo of your ID and a photo or screenshot of previous MJ or email confirming.

I switched, no problem but it seemed to take an age because everytime I paused to take photos it booted me back to the beginning! Lesson learned!!

they’re really good as I didn’t want my surgery contacted due to a relative working there and a nosey neighbour, they have their own medical people that you’re in contact with and you also have to give them authority to get access to your medical records
