Does Mounjaro need to be in fridge all the time?

Hi all, I’m a bit confused whether MJ needs to stay in the fridge. I’ve had my first injection, does it then need to stay in fridge until I’ve used it all?

The instructions say that before it's used it should be in the fridge until its expiry date at which point it needs to be discarded. Once it's been used once, you can keep it in or out of the fridge, and discard after 30 days. If out of the fridge it needs to be kept under 30 degrees.

I wondered this as the instructions say it's fine to leave out of the fridge. My current plan is Doctor led and I asked them about this at my last session. She said they do recommend keeping them in the fridge and using cold packs if travelling with them. I don't understand the science of it but I keep it in the fridge for good measure.

Instructions are -

Once out of fridge temperatures it needs to be used within 30 days (even if unused) or discarded.

After first use it needs to be discarded after 30 days (whether in fridge or not).

For the above you take whatever 30 days is earliest as the day to bin the pen.

After first use you can store in or out of fridge (keep below 30 degrees)
