Which weight loss drug is best?

I’ve decided to try a weight loss drug after years of yoyo dieting and failures.

I’ve got 4 stone to lose and I’ve been exercising more for the last 6 months but struggling with the food side of things.

Ive been looking at Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro

Does anyone have any recommendations for which one is best/most effective?

I have been able to tolerate mounjaro the best out of the three and have had sustained weight loss. I think it is meant to be more effective than ozempic?

Mounjaro has better results and seems to have less side effects.

I've lost three stone on mounjaro since April. It's mildly affected my menstrual cycle and I sometimes get sulphur burps on the higher dose. Apart from that, it's been great and easy to use.

Haven't got experience of the others but have lost 2 1/2 stone on mounjaro since 19th June.
I signed up to Voy and they offered Wegovy or Mounjaro and I read up on both and went for Mounjaro as it had better results and was a newer med.

It has changed my life! I have said several times on here that if I never lose another pound, I still want to stay on this for the rest of my life. For the first time in my memory, I have control of my mind and body with regard to food.

Wow this is amazing!

Do you mind sharing what you eat in a day? What sort of calories per day?

Im hoping to do 1000 calories per day max - do you think this is doable?

I am on holiday at the moment so diet is a bit skewed. More alcohol😬
I have been recording every day on the 'What I eat in a day' thread though so have a look on there to see what we are all eating.
I am a fan of the fast800 and their med diet so that's basically what I have been doing (until I came away and the lure of Turkish bread and cheese was too much!) Basically clean eating with reduced white carbs.
I have also gone back to the gym (used to be an instructor!) and loving spinning and Pilates!

Some days on mounjaro managing to eat as much as 1000 calories is tough.

Mounjaro suppresses your appetite and stops you feeling hungry.

How long do you stay on the drug for? What happens when you stop?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 31/08/2024 20:22

@xyz111 as long as you need to in order to achieve a healthy weight.
What happens next is up to you!
