If Wegovy didn’t work for, was Mounjaro better?

I’ve been taking Wegovy since the beginning of June and although it worked well for a few weeks it’s subsequently had no further effect - this isn’t about diet or exercise, I’m doing everything else I should it just isn’t having any effect

if Wegovy didn’t work for you did you have a better fit with Mounjaro? I’m contemplating a move but wondering if it’s worth it

You probably don't have anything to lose by switching if wegovy isn't doing anything for you.

I switched. Wegovy never worked very well for me. I started about a week before Mounjaro was released and should’ve swapped then. I was on Wegovy for about 6 months and lost 2 stone. Food noise was less but appetite suppression not great.
I stopped for about 6 weeks and have started at the lowest dose Mounjaro. I thought the lowest dose won’t do anything but already the food suppression is much better. I’m on week one but have lost 4lb.

I have been on Wegovy since March, lost 2 stones and then nothing for 3 months on the highest dose - longest plateau ever (and a very expensive one!), even though I still had appetite suppression and wasn't eating much. Seems my body has found a new set weight and refuses to let more weight go. So I have switched to Mounjaro, took first injection 2 days ago, hoping it will kick start the loss again - need another stone or so to lose to get into healthy BMI. Feeling pretty much the same as with highest dose of Wegovy (never had much side effects), so we'll see how it goes.

Yes, I found Wegovy a bit rubbish. I had used ozempic prior which worked but I think that's because it was the easy first stone. Mounjaro has been much better.

Yes. My experience is that Wegovy stops working at the highest dose after a while in terms of suppressing cravings or what other people call food noise. It only switches off one part of the body system that craves food whereas Mounjaro switches off two. I plateau'd for four months - after llsing 3 stone and in fact started putting weight back on on the highest dose -which is a very expensive way of doing it. I have switched to Mounjaro and am on the low dose. Only started this week.

They both worked pretty much the same for me. Slow and steady weight loss. I think perhaps Mounjaro was a bit better at getting rid of the sugar cravings. It might be worth a try - they are different. I couldn’t tolerate the side effects for Mounjaro in the end but am doing ok on Wegovy.
