Mounjaro when borderline obese - is it worth it?

Hi all, have been looking at a lot of these threads to try and get more information.

I am currently 14 stone 2lb and I am sitting with a BMI of around 29.1.

I am obsessed with food, addicted to sugar mostly, and have no energy at all to do anything most of the time. I really want to change things and feel better in myself. However I sit just under the qualifying BMI. I diet but it’s torture for me as I can’t stop thinking about food.

Is it possible to qualify at this weight? I don’t have any underlying conditions I am aware of?

Also those at the top of the overweight category, or just into the obese category, have you found it helps? Has it been worth it for you?

It really is worth it. Especially if you have co-morbidities which make a healthy weight even more important.

I started at the same weight although BMI was 31. You must be tall.
You don’t qualify so reputable providers shouldn’t be supplying it although it’s probably quite easy to get around the rules.
I think it’s marvellous. Am over a stone down and feeling very positive about progress. I think it’s slower though if you have less to use. Has taken me two months to lose the stone and is slowing down.

My BMI was the same as yours and I am so glad I took the plunge. I am only in the first week and currently over 6lbs lost. I use Voy which have great support. I have an £85 off code if you are interested?

I was not in the obese category. My BMI was also 29 at 13 stone 3.

It is possible to bend the rules - I did.

It has absolutely been worth it for me. I am on week 7 and have lost 2 stone. Although I want to lose at least another stone, my BMI is currently 24.6.
