How hard is it to inject yourself each day?

Have considered weight loss injections for a long time. How hard is it to actually inject yourself each day? I hate needles and can't imagine coping well with it

Saxenda is daily injections. I'm on Saxenda for now, no side effects and the injections are no bother, takes less then a minute to do, I do it in the morning before i get out of bed. My stomach has quite a few little bruises but I don't feel any pain when injecting.

Yeah just found out Mounjaro is only weekly, big plus!!

I also am on saxenda, just because that is what is available here.

I have to inject daily. I do find sometimes it hurts more than other times, not sure why but its generally painless.

BD needles are the best most lubricant

NeedSomeAnswersPlease · 06/08/2024 12:18

Well, let's hope it's not awful, as the mounjaro has been ordered!

Just watch with Voy as they start off cheap but unless you can proffer your code around and get people to use it then it is VVVV expensive for future pens.

Seen that the 5mg is £229!! I have room in my budget for it thank god but can't see how they can justify if continuing to creep up!

@NeedSomeAnswersPlease loads of other providers way cheaper.

Zava is £139 or £118.15 with a code (I have a code if you want one - we aren't allowed to post them but if you want to PM me I will happily send you it)

Edited

For me the added coaching is a huge plus of Voy, as I'd be paying for private therapy otherwise x

I've injected myself 8-10 times a day for 25 years to stay alive. You'll manage.

Yep, me too. Amazing how easy it is - just give it a go.

God I was so scared (using Mounjaro). I usually use emla topical anaesthetic but I didn't have any. I gave myself a stern talking to, did it, checked if I'd done it as I felt nothing... (Went through the same saga for a few weeks as mine was more a needle phobia so even seeing it was tough) But honestly, no pain whatsoever.

I've just sat on the toilet at work and grabbed my belly fat and pinched it and realised I barely feel it so the injection can't be that bad

Its a tiny needle, once a week and its not at all like a vaccination. Its really easy.

Notreadytomakenice · 06/08/2024 18:04

I promise (even though we don't know each other) that it's really painless. The only other advice is take it out of the fridge at least 15 mins before. Xxx
