Mounjaro & oral contraception

Does anyone have any experience with using Mounjaro while taking oral contraceptives?
I'm on a progesterone only pill which I take continuously with no break.
I haven't started Mounjaro yet and still considering my options. I've been on Google and will of course speak to whichever provider I go with, if I choose to go forward, but it would be useful to hear from people who have taken both.
Thanks

The information leaflet says you should use a barrier method too while on the medication

Yes use a barrier method

I’m on my second injection, and have just started my first period (although it’s light spotting) in 8 years after having no bleeds on my contraceptive pill. My doctor did advise it would have an impact on the absorption of the pill due to the fact it works by slowing the empty of food from your tummy and therefore slower absorption of any medication taken.

Thanks everyone. That all makes sense.
@AuntyBetty61 that's annoying! I like the pill I'm on for the very reason that I don't have periods. I guess it's a small price to pay though.

Same, my periods were always really bad and I’ve heard a lot of people say they have lighter ones when on the injection so I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I have an appointment with my doctor next week so I’m going to discuss other birth control options. I need to shift some weight for medical reasons so I’m happy to put up with them, it’s just annoying!

I've just been approved for my subscription so I'll be starting mounjaro soon.
