Chin hair disappearing?

I am mid 40's and for the past few years have been getting some wiry chin hairs sprouting which I need to pluck every week or so. I had put it down to perimenopause but since starting Mounjaro a few weeks ago I am noticing that my chin hair is disappearing? I have been on the mounjaro for 2 months now and I may have plucked them sometime in mid june but since then they seem to have stopped growing, even with my magnifying illuminated mirror our I can't locate them!

What is happening?

Hair loss/shedding is a common side effect of weight loss, no?

But I am not losing hair anywhere else like on my head or even my usual vellus hair just the stiffer terminal hairs on my chin. If anything I have less shedding from the hair on top of my head. I am wondering if the mounjaro is some how helping with hormone balance through regulating insulin sensitivity perhaps?

Yeah, I think I’ve probably got yours 😂 mine has easily doubled in both the amount of hairs and the time it takes to get rid of them

@guestusername Lol please don't send them back!

I hope I get this side effect! Haven't noticed mine are less yes tho. Started back in feb

If hair is a result of hormone imbalance then losing weight is known to help. Fat plays a significant role in the hormone system so losing helps balance things out.

Is it just me that will miss yanking the wiry little buggers out?
