Six weeks in and 2 stone down.

Minimal side effects (just indigestion), food suppression is great and it is so freeing not to be obsessing about / craving food all the time.

April88 · 15/07/2024 21:36

I’ve been on it for 19 weeks and lost 48lb.

I’m 11lb away from my goal weight and currently on 10mg. Hoping to stay on 10mg then come back down.

No side effects, it’s been amazing for me

23 lbs lost here in 6 weeks.
Not had any side effects and am now on 5mg.
I can't believe the change this has made to my eating habits, I love it.
Starting weight was 18 stone 6 lbs and now 16 stone 11.
It's so exciting each time I move down a stone bracket.
I honestly never thought I would lose this weight but I now have total confidence that I can and will.
Good luck on your journey too.

I'm just over 3 weeks in, and have lost 19lbs!
Today I'm officially just overweight, rather than obese 😄

ToriMJ · 21/07/2024 11:31

Wow that's a huge lost! You must be thrilled!

Can I ask what injections everyone here is on? This thread has pushed me to finally go for it, thank you for all your stories!

PoohBearsBelly · 21/07/2024 12:46

Injecting since November and 4 stone down. Completely changed my life and I'm so grateful

LionAndEmperor13 · 21/07/2024 13:10

I took my 4th dose of 2.5mg Mounjaro on Wednesday, so next week I'll try to get the bonus dose out and then the following week I'll move onto 5mg.

I'm a week in to it- lost 4.2kg! Although 3kg of that was in the first 2 days so if I'm realistic that was just water, and 1.2kg is "real" and what I'm hoping will continue. Wake up excited to see what's on the scales 😄 Trying to eat enough protein, 1mg/kg, and consequently enough fibre to avoid constipation, and that's about it. It's not been hard which is amazing. I'm on 2.5mg mounjaro through Voy (£85 discount code below if you like, I know they're everywhere) - includes coaching.

I'm on Mounjaro. It is so liberating to not feel compelled to binge.

7 weeks in and 2 stone 2 pounds lost.

Snozzlemaid · 21/07/2024 18:39

Mounjaro here too. It's the newest one that has fewer side effects and better results.
It's bloody amazing, magic stuff.

Oldseagull · 21/07/2024 22:37

Thank you 😊

Slower loss for me. 10lb in 8 weeks. But very few side effects and has enabled me to give up my daily G&T habit which I was getting worried about. The Wegovy has removed craving for alcohol.
BMI was 31 so not as much to lose as some and I am eating whatever I feel like. Very minimal side effects. Am very happy with around 1lb a week and my tight size 16s are slowly being replaced with an occasional 14.

Rozie1234 · 20/08/2024 19:58

I started mounjaro in May & now 3 stone lighter and I feel great now wearing clothes that fit lovely. I only struggle when I go up a dose for the first 3 day's sickness, tiredness and headaches but definitely worth it, this has changed my life for the better.

3wDavid · 23/08/2024 18:47

I am 13 weeks in (started May 25) and currently 1 lb off a 3 STONE loss! That’s 16.8% off my body weight. I have been thrilled with it so far. No nasty side effects and immediate suppression. I moved to 5 mg 3 weeks ago and most likely will stick with it until goal.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 23/08/2024 18:59

I‘m 14 weeks in and 51lb down.
Still on 5mg and loving the lack of food noise in my life. Hope the next 50lbs comes off as easily.

Wow, that’s 23kg. Amazing. Could you share a snapshot of what you eat in a day.

Carelesswispalover · 24/08/2024 22:48

On my 20th week, I'm 5ft10
Start weight was 15 stone 10 (size 16-18)
Currently 13 stone exactly and I have 1 more stone to lose. (Size small 14)
Has been life changing, but not without some difficult weeks where I've just felt generally rubbish, especially when moving up doses. Im currently in 7.5 mg mounjaro, hoping this will be the last 4 weeks and then I'll wean myself off.

Main side effects were
*Constipation
*Nausea
*Horrible fizzing at the back of my throat all the time
*Sore legs
*Insomnia

All above quite mild and I would do it all over again every time.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 25/08/2024 06:26

Thanks @FlappingMadly I don’t calories count or have a food 🍲 plan as found that never worked for me and don’t have the time or want to be obsessed by what am eating. Am eating well just smaller portions and avoiding the junk. Have quite a bit too lose so probably losing more at a higher weight. Eating lots of protein and fresh food.
