Mounjaro pens "bonus" doses

I see them referred to a lot (newbie just starting out) I understand when people say a good hard twist (Pliers maybe) but when I read get it out with an insulin needle, I'm lost as to what/ how you mean?

I have used an insulin needle that I had for my diabetic cat. Put the needle in the top and draw up the remaining liquid then inject in a similar way

The red seal bit on the pen is soft, so you can pierce it with an insulin needle to extract the last dose.

I have tried the hard twist method but not keen on it. So bought insulin needles to get the last dose out that way.

I took the 'extra' dose with a needle & syringe (am a farmer so used to doing this sort of stuff anyway). I then tried twisting the pen and was surprised how easy it was to do, although it was almost empty. Just grasp it with both hands as if you were going to wring out a towel and twist.

I've had a few 5th doses and always managed to get it out just by twisting.

yep... i use wegovy and its the same with their pens. to be honest i also bought a stockpile of needles from amazon and i micro-dose mainly because this product is so expensive, if i can make a pen last twice as long... then i'm going to do it
