Wegovy - stopping immediately. Any experiences?

I’ve been on Wegovy for a year and I’ve lost 3.5 stone which has been slow coming off but I’m ok with that. Ideally I’d like to lose another 7 lbs but my BMI is 25.9 so it’s close to normal. I exercise quite a lot, I run and do weights over five sessions per week. I’ve had some side effects from the injections, mainly awful trapped wind and sulfur burps, I’ve recently had diarrhea which has been quite debilitating. I’ve had to stop exercising and just do a few walks instead.

Has anyone just stopped after a year and if so, what was your experience? I want to continue but I’ve had other health issues recently (seizure and lightheaded) and I can’t rule out that it’s not down to the injections (electrolytes) and I feel that I should just stop. I’m reluctant because I have enjoyed a year free of food noise! I’m not sure what to expect if is just stop and how quickly will I start being hungry again?

Thanks.

i stopped, never went over 0.5mg dose anyway (but was ozempic, which i guess is th same thing?) was on it for a year. Went in HRT the same month and I have regained half of what I lost. But my chest is huge and soooo bloated, so who knows what is to blame. Appetite totally back though, need steel willpower and it feels like every calorie matters. Good luck! X

Thanks @MrsKwazi

It’s not easy isn’t it. How long did it take for your appetite to return? I’m half expecting an irresistible urge to consume the contents of the fridge!

I've only been off it a couple of weeks but tapered down slowly and did a month on 0.25 before stopping completely. So far it's been fine. Yes I get hungry more often but totally manageable, nor raging overwhelming hunger that I'd feared. I'm still losing and only 1lb away from my goal.

How much weight did you lose and did you get left with sagging skin?
