Will be ugly and fat on my wedding day! 😖

Posting in hope that other brides felt this way and can tell me that on the day it didn’t matter?

HOPING.

3 weeks and 4 days to go and I’ve only lost half a stone since giving birth 5 months ago. Had hoped I’d lose the stone and a half I’ve put on through pregnancy. I’m also not very pretty, and being fat makes my face look even uglier than when I’m slim.

anyone else felt this way on the lead up to the big day?

did you change your mind once the day arrived and you were all glammed up etc?

my bridesmaids are size 10, gorgeous, curves in the right places. This also fills me with dread! They can’t help being beautiful but I’m hating the thought of looking even uglier in comparison! Some days I feel like cancelling it altogether or postponing until I’m in a better place.

Haha of course he does. However, he's right you look fabulous and everyone there are your friends and family and will also think you look fabulous. Weddings are a pressure though hence why I haven't done it despite being engaged for about a 100 years 🫣😂

That was the big problem for me - we’d lose thousands of pounds and disappoint everyone. So we went ahead. It was still a lovely day but I didn’t feel nice and I won’t look at the photos or let anyone display them. I was just not in a good place at that time to be able to lose weight and get fit. I’ve since lost 2st after quitting the awful job that was stressing me out, and I’m trying to lose some more.

nothing I can do about it, so I’ve woken up with a different mindset today. Plus the comments from all you wonderful ladies have really cheered me up!

Well we had the wedding and it didn’t matter on the day- I was so thrilled and caught up in the moment etc loved it!

however, just received a sneak peek of our photos and I did look awful 😞 I’ve posted two that I thought were passable but no one has liked or commented on them which is unusual for a wedding photo! (Others get loads of likes etc) and the photographer hasn’t put us on her page when she’s put all other couples up. So in the end I would say, yes I’d do it all again fat but nope, wouldn’t pay for a professional photographer as there was really no point in doing that! I look awful in the photos.
