Is this dress colour okay for a wedding? Don't have any dresses that aren't white or black, that fit after giving birth and really don't want to buy a new one.

Perfect, love it! You look fab.

CredibilityProblem · 15/07/2022 12:59

Mad but lovely.

Crucible · 15/07/2022 13:06

Yep, slightly offbeat, I like it, 60's vibe too, even better. I'd fix my hair in a beehive and wear gorgeous winged eyeliner too.

cottagegardenflower · 15/07/2022 13:06

Bit crazy but looks excellent.

GreenManalishi · 15/07/2022 13:08

The colour is fine and your legs go up to your armpits! I'd probably "ground" it with some simple shoes and accessories, nothing that fights with it.

ODFOx · 15/07/2022 13:13

Yes. Absolutely fine.

PutYourBackIntoit · 15/07/2022 17:33

Love it, and you look great! Where is it from?

Gazelda · 15/07/2022 17:36

What a fabulous dress!

And I love that you're busy taking pics to discuss with MN, while your little tot is exploring the closet - is he/she searching for 'the perfect pair of pumps' to go with your outfit? Adorable.

Thanks everyone Grin
The dress is from sister Jane and is currently on sale! ASOS are selling it too.
That's Roman in the background helping me rearrange my shoes. Got to keep him occupied as I try on outfits!

All good, I love it!

MrsMoastyToasty · 15/07/2022 21:32

I'm sorry. I really dislike it.

WildImaginings · 15/07/2022 21:34

Colour is absolutely fine. I really like that dress- it'd look awful on me because I'm fat, but it's great!

GinUnicorn · 15/07/2022 21:38

Looks great on you. If it is as hot as it has been though you might be a bit uncomfortable. Do you have a heatwave plan b?

blebbleb · 15/07/2022 21:39

It really suits you. I could never pull it off personally! Hopefully you're not wearing it on we this weekend, it's going to be sweltering!

Ticksallboxes · 15/07/2022 21:44

Sorry OP...I'm thinking Emu.

NashvilleQueen · 15/07/2022 21:47

The dress is fine but depending on how soon the wedding is I worry you'd be a bit hot.

Yorkshirebred · 15/07/2022 21:53

It's a bit Big Bird from Sesame Street - not suitable for a wedding unless the bride and groom are Miss Piggy and Kermit.

LadyLolaRuben · 15/07/2022 21:56

What type of wedding is it? Lovely colour but quite flamboyant

pinkymurder · 15/07/2022 21:56

It looks really cool on you, but I must admit I did think this

I think it looks absolutely great on you, I could never pull something like that off but you do. It's different and interesting, go for it.

I second this suggestion from Crucible:

Yep, slightly offbeat, I like it, 60's vibe too, even better. I'd fix my hair in a beehive and wear gorgeous winged eyeliner too.

IncompleteSenten · 15/07/2022 22:01

The colour is fine for a wedding yes.

secondcoatneeded · 15/07/2022 22:27

Are you happy with the dress and only asking about the colour?

Whitehorsegirl · 15/07/2022 22:52

Not for me.

Way too ''busy'' and fussy and birdlike.

Also unless you are going to an alternative wedding where everyone will wear some unusual outfits I would stick to the idea that you should not try to bring attention on yourself/upstage the bride in any way.

You have a lovely figure so will look great in anything but I am just keen on that look and especially not in that context.

Lentil63 · 15/07/2022 22:53

Definitely

MiniTheMinx · 15/07/2022 22:57

I started humming the Birdie song.
Lovely colour though.
