Is this dress colour okay for a wedding? Don't have any dresses that aren't white or black, that fit after giving birth and really don't want to buy a new one.

Sorry it’s a definite no from me, it’s something for a fancy dress party.

DecimatedDreams · 15/07/2022 23:00

Colour is fine, the shoes don't go with the dress imo.

Bunce1 · 15/07/2022 23:01

Love it.

Aquamarine1029 · 15/07/2022 23:02

ilovepixie · 15/07/2022 23:05

It's a bit chicken ish. Sorry

11GrumpsaGrumping · 15/07/2022 23:06

I am so sorry op, YOU are stunning but the dress is hideous.

I think black elegant is okay and just add colour with accessories?

MarmiteCoriander · 15/07/2022 23:07

The colour is fine, you have great legs, but it gives you absolutely no shape to the rest of your body.

Not to mention it looks extremely hot and like a chicken dress up outfit.

thesunwillout · 15/07/2022 23:09

What MarmiteCoriander said.

It's awful. Like a costume.

Runningdownthehill22 · 15/07/2022 23:10

It does look like a bird now people have said. Sorry.

nzeire · 15/07/2022 23:10

Love it!

cherrybonbons · 15/07/2022 23:11

Colour is fine. Style is not

SpudsIluv · 15/07/2022 23:14

Awful.

fallfallfall · 15/07/2022 23:21

sesame street big bird comes to mind.
i am however a big fan of swing dresses.

Tiani4 · 15/07/2022 23:42

I love it! It's a perfect wedding dress, slightly kooky, lively and fun! You have gorgeous legs too so show those off! You've a lovely figure , can see Roman (helping you in background ) is still a baby so you've done brilliantly to have such a lovely figure which you should show off!

You'll look great in the photos!

PritiPatelsMaker · 16/07/2022 08:35

The colour is absolutely perfect. I thought it was going to be a shade of white when you were questioning the colour.

You'll look fab and hopefully have an amazing day Wink

RedLobsterRum · 16/07/2022 08:40

I love it! Ignore the snidey comments - they probably hover around in shapeless potato sacks from Cos thinking they're super cool.

JaninaDuszejko · 16/07/2022 08:45

Love it, absolutely perfect colour for a wedding (not that I cared if people were wearing white/black/red/green to my wedding but pastels are always approved of by the MN wedding rules) but it still has lots of personality and is not an identikit wedding outfit from Coast.

ShirleyPhallus · 16/07/2022 08:50

I agree that the colour is fine but gives off shapeless bird vibes

also unless you wear beehives and 60s make up normally don’t do it for this wedding, you’ll look like a ridiculous caricature and like you’re dressing for a costume party

Whataretheodds · 16/07/2022 08:53

It's awesome. Ignore the haters.

AreolaGrande · 16/07/2022 08:57

I love it and you have great legs 😍

It's fun and gives me quirky Paloma Faith/Nicola Roberts style vibes. Definitely lean into that with the 60s styling suggested upthread!

thethoughtfox · 16/07/2022 09:07

Gloriously mental.

sparklefarts · 16/07/2022 09:12

Colour is fine yes.

What are the black dresses you have?

Velvettia · 16/07/2022 09:34

its absolutely fabulous on you - wear it!
