Which dress?

Hi!

Recently began the search for a wedding dress and I’ve got plenty of time as wedding is next summer I just hate being rushed. What do you think of both of these dresses? They’re both so different but I love both. The samples were a bit tight so please ignore back fat etc and imagine they fit perfectly 😂 for context, I’ll be 30 and it’s (hopefully) an outdoor wedding. Dress one

No 2!!!

Bluntness100 · 16/01/2020 09:55

2 for me also.

Notonthestairs · 16/01/2020 09:56

I love a bit of lace but I really like the length and shape of number 2.

LetsPlayDarts · 16/01/2020 09:57

Number 2.

WellErrr · 16/01/2020 09:58

Like them both, but 2 suite you better.

inwood · 16/01/2020 09:58

2!

BadEyeBri · 16/01/2020 09:58

Two is beautiful. Very classy. And you could team it with fabulous shoes

WellErrr · 16/01/2020 09:59

Suits

Hooleywhipper · 16/01/2020 09:59

Dress 2 length/bottom half, dress 1 top half.
Sorry feel like that’s probably not helpful!

SheilaBruce · 16/01/2020 09:59

I agree with PPs.

The first one will be annoying when walking around.

No 2 is lovely but the front neckline would make me pause for thought.

ReturnofSaturn · 16/01/2020 10:00

2

PurpleDaisies · 16/01/2020 10:02

I prefer one. Love the lace and it really suits you.

GinaCarbonara · 16/01/2020 10:03

I think 1 makes you look older than you are, I think it's the neckline.

So 2 for me, but it does make your torso look a bit long. Love the cut of the skirt on you though

FenellaMaxwell · 16/01/2020 10:06

I think they both make you look a little square of torso. Something with a little more of a sleeve - maybe a flutter sleeve or a fuller cap sleeve, and a slightly higher waist would look lovely.

SageRosemary · 16/01/2020 10:07

I prefer how the first one hangs. You look taller and slimmer.

The second one is lovely on top but the ballerina length looks a little odd. But it might look a lot better if trimmed to your actual ballerina length, just the current length or camera angle makes it look like you have very short legs. We should be seeing a lot of high-heeled shoe, ankle and calf on a true ballerina length. Also, I know the size is wrong but can you be sure the dress will lie flat against your collar bone, it doesn't look right at the neckline currently.

Soontobe60 · 16/01/2020 10:11

First one. Second one makes you look square on top and the neckline is odd on you.

ChelseaCat · 16/01/2020 10:12

I prefer dress one - I’m really sorry but I don’t think the length of two is very flattering xx

OrchidFlakes · 16/01/2020 10:13

2 it could be styled so beautifully with shoes and a accessories and looks fresh and modern yet still classic. 1 is nice but the lace looks a little old fashioned and not hugely attractive. The train would also get ratty outdoors very quickly as it doesn’t have the weight to glide over grass, paving etc.

WinterSplinter · 16/01/2020 10:14

One - makes you look much taller.

treenu · 16/01/2020 10:14

Dress 2 - looks beautiful

dazzlinghaze · 16/01/2020 10:15

Dress 2!

Gogolego · 16/01/2020 10:17

Love both but #2 looks classier and won't date as quickly when looking back at photographs.

FenellaMaxwell · 16/01/2020 10:17

This sort of shape would work really nicely on you - uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_4.1/6400254606

jillandhersprite · 16/01/2020 10:21

Before reading any other comments I had chosen 2 in my head. It is beautiful and memorable, whereas the 1st one barely registered and is very forgetable.
